Good afternoon, let's begin
Dave

Who do you think will be the second most productive receiver this year in terms of TD catches for the Steelers?
Ed Bouchette
1:58
I assume you believe Antonio Brown will be No. 1. Martavis Bryant would be my choice and, of course, if he stays in the lineup.
Paul

I think coaches who can manage game time adjustments are the X factor in championship runs like Bellecheck of the Patriots and Sullivan of the Penguins. How does our coaching staff rate relative to the other NFL teams?
Ed Bouchette
1:59
I have not done that study yet.

Is the "standard is the standard" the motto again this upcoming season?
Ed Bouchette
1:59
Not only is it the motto that began with Mike Tomlin, but I have seen other teams adopt it the saying.

Will Big Ben get to have his fairy tale ending like Bettis did? With his injuries piling up over the years would 1 more SB be enough or is an Elway finish, his QB hero and back to back SB winner, be what it would take? Personally, I am for a 3-peat but...
Ed Bouchette
2:02
Lot of conjecture there -- first the Steelers would have to win the Super Bowl and then Ben would have to retire right afterward. I'm not going to add the third, because unlike Jerome's fairtale finish in his hometown of Detroit, there is no Super Bowl scheduled to be played in Ben's hometown of Findlay, Ohio, nor of the next closest thing -- Cleveland.

Hello Ed. Has any of the Steeler players looked so good in OTA or in Mini-camp, that it made people say, "WOW!!!"
Ed Bouchette
2:03
As grizzled old veterans, most of us save our WOWS for at least training camp. I have seen some WOW-like performances in the spring disappear from the roster in August.
2:04
Yes, they changed that rule at their meeting in May.
And here comes the question to that answer.

Enjoy the talks, are two players now able to come off of the injury list In the regular season, thanks.

Saw in another room where Steelers were "adding" quarterback sneak ? can you tell me what the design and blocking assignments would be..
Ed Bouchette
2:05
Yes, as soon as Mike Tomlin gives me the playbook at the end of spring practices, I will write something in detail about that.

Hi Ed, in my opinion the ILB spot has the least amount of depth. Do you think the team feels comfortable with the backups they currently have or do you see a vet signed before/during training camp?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
All the vets worth signing have been signed. They have a good blend of vets and youth behind starters Ryan Shazier and Vince Williams.

How well would Sutton need to perform for them to cut Gay?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
I think if they were going to do that, it would have been done. There is room for both.

2:07
what impact could Hunter make in the receiving group, has he any chance to win a spot?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
Yes, he has a chance, which is why they signed him and why he chose to sign with them as a free agent. To me, there are 4 locks at WR to make the team: AB, Martavis Bryant, Eli Rogers and JuJu. The other 2 spots are up for grabs with Sammie Coates, DHB and Hunter among the mix.

Ad's on the practice jerseys? Really? Is the NFL going broke?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
The Steelers have had ads on their practice jerseys for some time. It used to be Legendary Pictures, but Thomas Tull sold that and now they advertise his farming venture. They are only on practice jerseys, so who cares?
Chuck Noll used to make them practice without numbers.

How is the competition at inside linebacker coming along?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
There really is no competition this time of year, especially at the backup spots.

Is Jesse James durable enough to be the regular tight end ?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
He did not miss a game in the regular season or playoffs last year, started all but 3. Why would you question his durability?
Mark Sauquoit NY
2:11
Hi Ed do you think Mr Grimble will surprise people with some down the seam catches. I believe he can seize this opportunity.
Ed Bouchette
2:11
He can go deep, surprisingly so

Love your chats. Who are the main roadblocks in preventing us from taking the AFC this year; besides NE?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
Pick your poison and start in the AFC North where both Baltimore and Cincinnati are capable. Add Oakland and KC and there are always surprises, although I don't think Houston is going anywhere without a strong QB.

Many players in NFL have said they would like Kaepernick as either a starter or backup... And he isn't looking for either a big payday or long term deal. Where will he end up?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
I have given that exactly no thought. I do know where he won't end up, here.
Mark Sauquoit NY
2:13
Ray commented yesterday that Steelers should change to more man to man D for just the Pats because Brady is 40. I disagree what say you?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
Carnell Lake said during the draft that his secondary will play more man to man, and I took that to mean not just against the Patriots.
Mark Sauquoit NY
2:13
I believe the Steelers need to knock out the Patriots, instead of another team doing it for them. How do you feel about that.?
Ed Bouchette
2:14
The goal is to win the Super Bowl, whether it goes through New England or Cincinnati or Oakland or . . . Doesn't matter. There is no asterisk on the Lombardi Trophy if you do not dispatch New England in the playoffs to win it.

Hi Ed....some people want to make an issue about L. Bell..not being there and he hasn't signed his tender...do you believe that there is an issue there?
