As a HOF voter, were you upset or offended that Terrell Owens chose not to attend in Canton? Do you believe the NFL should require people to say they'll attend if they are inducted?

No to both. I really don't care if someone shows up or not. The HOF does because that's their show. Personally, I think TO loses because it's such a first-rate event for the player, his family, friends, former teammates, etc. Who cares when you went in. It took nearly 20 years for Lynn Swann and 5 for Jerome Bettis. Go ask them how they feel about making it even after that long of a time period.

Your recent article about the revamped and improved secondary made it sound as if there's a significant difference between playing strong safety and free safety. But a few years ago, it seemed like the Steelers used their safeties interchangeably. Has something changed? Is it because of Butler (instead of Lebeau) or Bradley (instead of Lake)?

If you watched the Steelers safety play last season, you almost always saw Mike Mitchell as the lone guy deep. He was the free safety. Yes, the Tampa Two has two deep with each covering half the field and the Steelers can play that too. But the main idea is for the free safety to be back there and the strong safety to come up into the "box."

He turns 21 tomorrow, and after moving to this country in 2010, he's not been around the game long. He has a wealth of talent but needs time. The Steelers may not have time if there is an injury.

I don't think he has issues, I just think he wants to put the best one out there and that one has not been on defense.

No, I don't think he'll be with the Steelers. I have no idea who will offer him the money he wants, or if  he even prefers a team to go to regardless of whether it's the top bid or not.
