Still hope for Rodon this season? I can possibly snag Hamels for Rodon and another piece in my dynasty league.
Eno Sarris
12:32
I might wait another start. H was really good for four starts there. With a velo increase.

12:32
Scale of 1-10 how worried are you about the Harvey injury?
Eno Sarris

Thoughts on saisons and farmhouse ales? Just discovered a bunch of Stillwater Artisnal ales around here (Cellar Door, Debutante), and damn they're great.
Eno Sarris
12:33
Saison Dupont was the reason I got into craft beer. Used to be into pilsners and used that as my gateway.

Dude Eno we need confidence error measures with WAR! I want to know how confident the models are on setting that number. :|
Eno Sarris
12:34
Would be pretty hard to show in a leaderboard. Perhaps in the WAR graphs?

Everyone stop typing and listen! We all need to listen more often!
Eno Sarris
12:34
All I hear is Chris Russo yelling at me. Back to typing.

Whos more likely to turn things around? Cutch or Liriano? both have looked very bad and helpless
Eno Sarris
12:34
Cutch. he does this sometimes and comes out of it.

Think Trea Turner gets meaningful PT either in the infield or outfield this year?
Eno Sarris
12:35
Outfield maybe. They just don't seem to trust his glove at short.

I remember on one of the podcasts that you sorted by how teams do against curveballs. How did you do that again? I gotta get better at streaming and wanna start looking deeper at stuff

Just curious. I'm currently a college student studying Pre-Law in undergrad. My minor is rhetorical writing and the only field I've ever considered other than Law would be writing about sports. How does one break into the field of sports journalism? Have to know someone, specific requirements, etc? Or is it more of a produce some work and if people like it you gain notoriety? Thanks, sorry for the non-baseball question, just super interested in your profession haha
Eno Sarris
12:38
Plenty of former lawyers in baseball writing! The standard response is to find your niche. I guess that's true, but it took me a while. I wrote about all fantasy sports, and then baseball, made a break in being an early FG-style fantasy writer, won an award, got lucky, did some saber writing for Mets sites (Amazin Ave whatup), got hired by Jonah Keri for Bloomberg (thank you thank you), almost took a job at MLB.com editing, trained with them, and then got the call from Appelman. So it's really about writing. Write. Do your law thing, but write. If you've got something to say it will come out and people will notice.

you said in the podcast if you liked odorizzi, you'd be happy with guerra. would you go far enough to suggest dropping odo (or kazmir) for him? (12-team that plays more like 14/keep 8)
Eno Sarris
12:39
Projections are pretty much identical and Odorizzi has better command. I'd probably keep Odo.

Hypothetically (purely hypothetical), one has an unhealthy irrational love of Dragon's Milk. What would be a similar alternative beer?
Eno Sarris
12:40
Have to think you'd like Left Hand Milk Stout, Madagascar from 4 Hands, Gingerbread Stout from Hardywood. Look for Milk Stouts.
