Yeah I like that start. He's not getting many whiffs on his breaking ball, but a good fastball and a great change is a good start.

How does Freddie Freeman hit so many line drives with such a steep swing? I don't think anyone else's bat enters the zone at such a nearly vertical angle. You'd think he'd have to time the pitch perfectly to hit a line drive, but he's always at the top of the LD% leaderboard.

Somehow his launch angle is 85th among guys with 30 BIP or more, although it's a bit high, it's right there with Khris Davis, Mike Moustakas, Paul Goldschmidt and Jay Bruce. I think a lot of things look weird about Freeman. Reminds me of something a scout once said about him: Freddie Freeman looks awkward. Freddie Freeman looks unathletic. Freddie Freeman looks like he can't hit. Freddie Freeman can hit.

Pitching side... Finally got my reds in DeSclafani and Straily, was pretty happy with Hendricks going into the season but not this happy, thought Keuchel would be top 30 not top 20, but I hated Robbie Ray, Danny Duffy, J.A. Happ, and I really had higher hopes for Brandon Finnegan.
