He had a 91 wRC+ against lefties last year! I'm surprised they've done this to him. I know it was a small sample, but he's a patient enough hitter that he can provide value with walks low in the order v LHP.

27 now... Took him a while. Didn't show this power until this year. Projections are for meh defense at a corner position and below-league average bat, and I don't know enough to say that's wrong.

Yeah I do think he is. Looks like a regular now, and should hit at least .275 with 15/15 type baseline and more power upside.

Certainly made an adjustment and hits the ball really hard. I could see some fluctuation around .260, but mostly this is real.

It actually depends on the league. Because in the shallower leagues, I'll take Schwarber's definite power. But the deeper you go, if it's a two-catcher league, that sort of thing, I'll take Sanchez, who should play more catcher.

He's still losing a full mph from the first to the fifth, which I don't love. But I see a riser, a good chagne, a decent slider... just a few too many homers on the fastball to give him a grade A stamp of approval, could be a bad fastball guy. But there's something there.

Can Statcast spin rates tell you anything about a pitcher's "stuff" that Pitch FX velocity and movement data can't? If spin is only useful insofar as it creates movement, what's to be gained by looking at the spin rate in addition to the horizontal and vertical movement of a pitch? Thanks.

I think there's a chance you can tweak a guy's arm slot and take more advantage of spin. Because spin plus arm slot (and a few more mechanics, like extension) creates movement, so if you have spin, maybe you can Rich Hill the arm slot and get Rich Hill.
