Follow-Up to my prototype starter question. I was more talking from a scouting standpoint? Like, is Dan Straily really a prototype #4? Do you look at a prospect and say "this kid could be a solid #4, he reminds me of Dan Straily" I know its a weird question but if you just look at WAR, it's likely going to capture guys having career years who might not actually be what you look for in those roles.

Good point. Hammel might be a better 'mid rotation starter' because he has a really good slider and curve but can't stay healthy and no changeup. I'd almost do it by flaws. A number one you see no flaws really, a two has one flaw, a three has two or three, a four is a guy you think things have to work out well in order to be in the league, and a five is just a longshot at all.
