I'm in Tampa for work, other than cigar city where else should I go drink???
Eno Sarris
12:33
Cycle and Bench.

Do you know if fangraphs is doing the fantasy fangraph+ profiles again this year? If so, do you know when it'll launch?
Eno Sarris
12:33
Yes and dunno.
Waldman
12:34
What are you thoughts on Story this year?
Eno Sarris
12:34
I saw a couple flavors of approach. I think he kills it.
Phil
12:34
When you mention on a podcast "he performed like a $25 player last season?" .. How do you calculate that value. I would like to use that value to judge keepers. Thanks!
Eno Sarris
12:35
I usually use our auction calculator as a first basis. http://www.fangraphs.com/auctiontool.aspx

are schoop and odor basically the same player, just different lineup slots? have the option to keep Schoop @$10 and Odor @$17
Merv Throneberry
12:36
Tyler Austin could end up in the OF though?
Eno Sarris
12:36
And third. But Holliday and Judge are already maybe sharing an OF spot. Still think he gets hurt the most. His projections with the bat are boring.

What are your thoughts on this funny business of removing the throws for an intentional walk?
Eno Sarris
12:37
Don't like that one at all. How much time does it save?

In your sandwich status photos, where are you getting all these exotic ingredients from. Is your fridge just always stocked with 8 different meats, pickled everything, Foie gras 24/7?
Eno Sarris
12:38
Nah, if anything, I have weird sauces. Then I cook dinner most nights and that ends up in sandwiches. Also, I do the shopping most of the time for the family, so it's easy to buy a couple meats and cheeses.

you gonna be an acolyte of twitter and get pizza today?
Eno Sarris
12:38
Acid reflux. Can't.

Is Matt Strahm going to stay in the pen and dominate or get moved to the rotation? If he is a SP is he worth my last (30th) keeper spot.
Eno Sarris
12:39
I think he starts the season in the pen, but may end the season in the rotation. I like that slot for a big arm.
Paul
12:39
So is Christian Bethancort the most exciting player in baseball now? And if not, aren't you wrong?
Eno Sarris
12:40
RP/C/OF gets my attention.

someone mentioned not getting your sp rankings this year, are you not going to do that this year for some reason? I have found it very valuable and appreciate it. Thanks
Eno Sarris
12:40
I've been moving away from fantasy because of the beer thing, but what the heck I'll put something together soon.

salary cap dynasty - $4.5 Smyly through 2019, $.50 Shoemaker 2020, or .50 Skaggs 2018. std 6x6 cats

3rd base. I'd rather it be for the Cubs pushing KB to RF and Heyward to CF but that seems highly unlikely.
Eno Sarris
12:41
3rd for another team seems more likely for Candelario. I do like the bat some.

Something I've been wondering with the Astros projections...if Joe Musgrove was projected for the 150-160 innings that Fiers currently has, and Fiers innings was cut down, is there any chance that would actually improve our SP outlook? B/c I feel like Musgrove is better than Fiers/Morton
Eno Sarris
12:43
The numbers agree with you, but there are a lot of swiss flags on that lineup, Musgrove will get his innings.
Bork's Unborn Son

My dad is going to miss my soccer practices because he's always in fangraph chats :(

What are your thoughts on this funny business of comedy - how can business be funny?

Good luck to the Bork family!

What are the error bars around ABV% listed on beers? I mean, is it possible that all beers of a particular type dispensed by a certain brewer over time are really the same ABV to the tenth-of-one percent?
Eno Sarris
12:44
Boom. Story.
Sam
12:44
Do you think the value of the Chris Carter deal outweighs the drawback of him taking ABs away from Tyler Austin and Refsynder?
Eno Sarris
12:44
Yes. You can release Carter if it doesn't work out and Austin gets back in there.
Kiermaier's Piercing Green Eyes

wOBA (and hence wRC/wRC+) exclude intentional walks. That doesn't seem right to me, especially when a Bonds/Harper/Pujols type can have IBBs as a significant portion of their outcomes. What is the reasoning behind that decision?
