He could play his way into the fulltime CF gig even when those guys are up. I'd rather play chisenbutt in the corners with Guyer, and have Jax as the backup and maybe just let Almonte go.

What pitching stat in your opinion holds the most predictive value for performance. Admittedly, I'm not too familiar with the equations for fip xfip & siera
Eno Sarris
1:03
Velocity, pitching mix, swinging strike rate.
Kris

"just a LH Napoli"? That's a pretty good outcome, no?
Help!

I like(d?) all my pitchers (deGrom, Wood, Maeda, Nola, Walker, Montgomery, Diaz, Chapman, Cahill). Now I am sitting on a FAT 4.5/1.35. My offense is doing well. When should I freak out and trade my Thames of the world for pitching?
Eno Sarris
1:04
Yeah just didn't like the derogatory way it was put! (for Napoli thing)
1:05
I still like your pitching. Wait for Nola return, watch deG, think he can be fine....

Ryan Howard got released a while back :(
Eno Sarris
1:05
oh well maybe they bring up Rio Ruiz and play Adonis at first? I really dunno.

hey Kershaw's slider looked better!
Eno Sarris
1:05
yeah I think it's back.

How can us semi-casual fans figure out when a pitcher is suddenly breaking out and when he's just riding a hot streak? I know FIP and all that but what are the actual changes that are most likely to lead to increased success?
Eno Sarris
1:06
Look at his pitching mix changes.
breakouts almost always come with a big change in mix.

Mike Leake keeps putting up great games. My gut says trade him but he's outpitching Harvey on my roster. Trade them both?
Eno Sarris
1:06
Man that might get you an interesting pitcher as a buy low sell high combo. I don't really believe in Leake but he does have plus command, which is lacking today.

Sounds like Shark isn't exactly a sabermetrics guy

And yet he's my best bud in the Giants clubhouse.

What you think of Pinthouse's Electric Jellyfish? My favorite beer in Austin thus far!
Eno Sarris
1:08
Really great. And somehow the name actually gets across some of the taste. A little bit tart/electric and then pineapple playing the role of a jellyfish. It makes sense, I promise.

Why haven't we seen a stat come out that evaluates players on a 0-100 scale like all the sports video games?
Eno Sarris
1:09
Eh, 0-100 bunches things up at 100 in a weird way.

Alonso a top 10 1B going forward?
Eno Sarris
1:09
More like 12-14.

Any concerns about Paxton's performance once he comes off the DL?
Eno Sarris
1:09
No
Short on power

What type of middle infielder could I trade Justin Turner for? Any idea where his pop went?
Eno Sarris
1:10
Talked to him about it and he wasn't worried, and I don't know that I am. Still hitting fly balls -- more actually -- and doing well with them. He said he starts slow for whatever reason.

Terminator vs Robocop
Eno Sarris

I didn't wait in line for two hours for any Robocop movie

Montas is starting to pitch really well. Any way he gets closer gig or Oakland to cheap for that?
Eno Sarris
1:11
Eh they don't keep guys that get expensive, they might do it. But it's a committee. Anyway I do like Montas the reliever.

arrieta still bothering me. Do i deal him and beltran for murphy (murph might have a little keeper value next year). Or arrieta for k seager? or maybe arrieta/ramos for justin turner/broxton/samardjiza? sorry about the multitude of options but it's an active league
Eno Sarris
1:11
Like Murph then Seager options.

What was the last sandwich you made that would’ve impressed the judges on Chopped? (random ingredients, delicious result)
Eno Sarris
1:15
Turkey, soppresatta, gruyere, cucumber, strawberries and salt and pepper on baguette? Or the London Broil, Havarti, tomato, cool ranch doritos and bbq sauce? ooh ooh the dry rub tri tip with melted gruyere, caramelized onions, curry lentils on ciabatta!

ROS Hedges, Martin or Rupp? Thanks!
Eno Sarris

I get what Smardj is saying - my 14 year old is a catcher and is on two teams... one where the coaches call each pitch and utilize a buttload of bunting, and one where they don't. Guess which one he likes best?

I had both dreads and followed phish for several years, Eno. No question here, just agreeing with you. In retrospect it was totally the purposeful formation of an image and I certainly wasn't living by Rasta principles at the time LOL
