Hey Eno! Tell Paul (Alex Meyer Q from an hour ago) that taller pitchers will have a longer development path as long as pitching coaches try to coax more downhill plane. Tall guys like Randy, Miller are often told to release high, tilt spine, and then they lose command as well as extension (check Miller's RP height data from 2011 vs. 2017, look at video of early RJ). Once they lower the arm slot by getting back to more natural balance, it's gravy, and they can utilize biological advantages to get a deeper release. It's not a biology problem, it's a coaching problem (conventional wisdom is pretty dim)

It's actually a decent trade, one one-dimensional guy for another, but the one you get is rarer.

If you see a hitter's IFFB% deviate from career averages early on in the year, what do you look at to determine whether something has changed permanently in the hitter's profile or whether it is just an issue with small sample size?
