If joking back at him doesn't work, ignore him until his performance is so bad it deserves comment or change.
Questions?
12:23
Favorite starting pitcher getting a cup of coffee this year?
Eno Sarris
12:25
Starting pitchers rarely make an impact other than in reliever roles, so I'm looking at Walker Buehler. I still like Brock Stewart, too. Easier to react to names than to survey the whole league and pick out a few names.
Former Lee Warmer

Luis Castillo is a keep in 12 team mixed, keep 14 yeah?  Likely have offense settled along with Kluber, Greinke.  Keep over Lester, S Gray or Quintana?
Eno Sarris
12:25
Yeah I'd keep him over the older guys.

Whats the role for Gsellman in 2018?   He really drops off after 75-80 pitches.  When he commands the 2-seamer he can be very effective.  Also curious if you think the Albino Tiger (Matz) will pitch north of 100 innings next year.
Eno Sarris
12:27
Man I think Gsellman is headed for the pen. None of his secondaries is average by results or stands out when it comes to movement. Sinker is his best pitch.

12:27
If Trout gets into the playoffs, he will vaporize pitches with his eyes and then walk around the bases cackling.
Eno Sarris
12:27
Or get walked four or five times a game.

12:28
Is Robbie Ray's curve too straight? I know it has a velo advantage but it looks straight and more hittable.
Eno Sarris
12:28
It's also fairly close to his slider in terms of movement. Watch a start and try to guess which is which.

12:29
Do you have the guts to draft Elvis over C. Seagar next year?
Eno Sarris
12:30
Man on projections Andrus full season (.287/15/22) is probably worth more than Seager (.290/25/2). Just feel like Seager is still more likely to have the peak year / breakout than Andrus, who just had it.

It sounds like the Astros are shifting less scouts to the professional scouting due to the increase in data available. How much access do teams have to trackman data from ballparks that don't belong to them? Can they find out the spin rate on a player's curve from a pioneer league game without asking for the data from one of the teams?
Eno Sarris
12:31
My understanding is that they only own TM data from teams that come their parks, but in leagues where they don't have a team or want more data, they can make a data sharing agreement with another team.

Should the Giants try again with the team they have or implode it and start from scratch?
Eno Sarris
12:33
I'm not sure the assets they have bring back the hordes that would stimulate a quick rebuild. Not saying Belt and Crawford are underwater, but they are probably fairly close to market value and aren't probably seen as impact players that demand a Sale-like package. If they bite the bullet and really sell Bumgarner and Posey... yes that might be a good idea, but it also tarnishes the legacy of two players that could go into the HoF as Giants, and keep people coming to one of the best parks.

With this explosion of neighborhood microbreweries, are the national brands like Stone, Lagunitas, Bell's etc losing business?
Eno Sarris
12:33
Yes. The national craft brand is in the most precarious position. Local tasting room based businesses like Fieldwork are killing it.

Blerg I hate september baseball, why won't the tigers just put Fulmer on the DL?!?

What's Matt Olson's ceiling? Also, what's his realistic projection now?
Eno Sarris
12:36
I put up a comparison of Olson's first 150 PA to Bellinger's on The Athletic and in some ways Olson was superior. I think he can cut the Ks a bit, add some walks, and settle in around something like .250/.330/.500 or so. Very good, especially once you consider his D.

12:36
How much of a tweak is required for Fulmer to go from a contact management oriented pitcher to an elite pitcher who can manage contact and get swings and misses? He almost reminds me of Greinke.
Eno Sarris
12:37
I really think more sliders is all he needs to do, used to be an elite swing and miss pitch for him.
Babe Lincoln
12:37
Thoughts on Brandon Nimmo this season?  .400+ OBP, solid OF defense.
Eno Sarris
12:38
Very impressed! Wish he had more power, but a 17% reach rate is Votto-like. Needs to hit more fly balls, but as a lefty, could be a low-cost CF with Lagares if the team wants to spend elsewhere, like the infield or rotation.

Does Kingery fit on your Phillies team of the phuture?
Eno Sarris
12:40
There are obviously buzzards circling third base, so whomever has the arm to take over for Franco, that's fine. I'm giving Franco another year myself, has shown decent exit velocity and could really be a lot better with just a little tweak in mechanics or selection.

Don't tell Judge but he smells

12:40
Maybe this is a dumb idea, but can a guy with a straight fastball like Flaherty mitigate it a bit by moving to one end of the rubber or another so its at least coming in across the plate even if theres little actual movement?
Eno Sarris
12:41
Not dumb at all. Tons of people break out with that sort of adjustment.

Glasnow and Honeywell, AAA playoffs, sad face
Eno Sarris
12:42
We've been talking about Honeywell not being on the 40 man, guess the Pirates rather have Glasnow keep it going in the minors.
