Should the Mets make a move for Longoria?  Their window is only for a couple more years, most of his salary can be paid from the insurance checks for Wright's salary (Sad!), and his salaries escalate in 2019 and substantially reduce any surplus value in the deal.  Gsellman + mid-tier prospect seems like enough, no?

Do the Twins have to go for it? Last year for Dozier, Mauer, Escobar and three rebuilding teams in the Central. Do you see them trading one of their three SS prospects for pitching help if they can't land Darvish, Cobb, or Lynn? Or what?

Do you think anybody is working on a grip to create a pitch with similar spin/rotation to a screwball but without the unnatural arm motion?  People can throw curveballs and sliders without twisting their arms, so why not a screwy?
