Great fastball, good slider, actually throws two or three breaking balls, never believes in his splitter, lack of command. He could be an ace or he could be a Michael Pineda.

If they keep squeezing into 'mega contracts for super stars' and 'short crappy contracts for everyone else' I feel like the players union is going to start making noise about getting rid of an arbitration year or attacking that part of finances.

I will pay attention. I may buy a Billy Hamilton type, but I wont do what I did in the past, which was buy some sluggers who might steal a few and hope I can get some steals in the end game. I always end up short on steals.

I guess so. In ALO, if he gets 300 backup plate appearances and steals 20+ bags, he's probably worth a couple bucks, and you're an injury away from more value.

Do you have any thoughts on Anthony Alford? He has looked great in the limited time that hes not injured. He is doing really well in winter league and its not like there is much in that TOR OF that could hold him back

What are your thoughts on Willson Contreras’ D? Baseball Prospectus has him close to dead last in defensive rankings which shocked me....though to the naked eye his framing isn’t great and he gets crossed up at an unconscionable rate

I just don't love beers that are super malty, sweet, and have a heavy alcohol burn. It works for me when it's also super thick and roasty like a stout, but if it doesn't have all that thickness, all I taste is alcohol and sugar. In related news, I'm not that into Tripels.
