Depressed Mets Fan
1:24
Any underrated Mets prospects you think will make a Mets fan actually bother checking the minor league box scores?
Eno Sarris
1:24
It's... gotten worse. Becerra maybe?
Floyd

There are hints that Mozeliak feels Mikolas can be better than a #4/5 and that the Cubs wanted him.  Have you seen his work in the NBP or translated stats?  Expectations for 2018?
Eno Sarris
1:25
Yes, I've seen translated stats that say that he should be a top 20 pitcher here, and stats from NPB that say he was a top three guy over there, and yet... I'm buying in, but Cards are probably happy they paid what they did.

Eno! How soon could Vlad jr be pushed if he continues to amaze?
Eno Sarris
1:25
Late this year?
Jstodola

Are you going to the SABR Analytic Conference in March?
Eno Sarris
1:25
Yes I'll be on a panel!
Anal Hershiser
1:25
Will Calhoun play everyday? Do you believe his crazy projection?
Eno Sarris
1:26
Only thing that worries me is his pop up rate. But I think he has more hit feel than Odor, so I think he'll be okay.
Matt Damon
1:26
MATT.  DAMON.
Orlando Arcia
1:26
What’s my 2018 ceiling? Can I be Lindor-lite?
Eno Sarris
1:27
Dunno about that. Hits too many ground balls to show that kind of power, doesn't have quite the same speed. I do think he could get to something like three wins with better D numbers, a little bit better contact, a little more value on basepaths.
Anal Hershiser
1:27
Are you into Matt Olson this year?
Eno Sarris
1:27
Yes, Anal.

You love to use ISO, but it seems like it is dead considering we no longer believe that every player should have a 290 BABIP. Thoughts? What does it capture that SLG doesn't?
Eno Sarris
1:28
I don't think saying Ryan Schimpf had a .420 slugging the year he hit like .190 captures the state of his power?
Sean Manaea
1:28
We gave up my boy Healy for Emilio Pagan. What do you think of our new relief pitcher? Can he replicate his rookie season or will the flyballs haunt him?
Eno Sarris
1:28
Future closer, probably. Surprised from results stats that he doesn't throw harder, though.

Aren't the Astros just wasting Peacock now that their rotation is so loaded?
Eno Sarris
1:29
Teams really need that sixth guy.
JSDee
1:29
jankowski to SF. make it happen.
Eno Sarris
1:29
Shouldn't cost much.

traded paxton for calhoun in dynasty.... too bold?
Eno Sarris
1:31
No, always get the bat.
dunno what Margot til it's gone
1:31
You have ruined Albies for everyone's NL draft, please leave Margot in peace
Matt

My biggest problem with the whole teams "not trying to win" argument is that it creates a fake narative when people say "happy losing". No, but if they don't expect to win, they might as well allocate their now-resources to tomorrow.
Eno Sarris
1:32
But then the Twins happen. I agree that teams should look to tomorrow if they projected for fewer than 78 wins or so, but above that, a few vet signings on short deals should make sense.
Matt

What is the next Statcast data point that revolutionizes the way we think about the game (as LA and EV have)?
Eno Sarris
1:32
Batted ball spin?
Empire State Building
1:32
Would you trade Lewis Brinson for Sonny Gray straight up when you can have Brinson for 6+ years and Gray for 2? Thanks.
Eno Sarris
1:32
no.

Are any of the Mets quintet of Harvey, Matz, Wheeler, Gsellman, or Lugo worth anything more than a $1 flyer in NL-only standard 5x5 auction keeper league?
Eno Sarris
1:33
Matz has the stuff but massive injury problems, I might go a few more bucks.
Hannah Hochevar
1:33
people think I'm wrong and crazy all the time! You get used to it.
John
1:33
Sixto and Moniak too much for Yelich?
Eno Sarris
1:33
Not sure if it's enough if they asking for Acuna.
