Eric A Longenhagen
1:10
Either Bryan Hudson or Oscar De La Cruz

Where do you rank Rutherford among the 2016 OF's that were drafted?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:12
Among preps #2 behind Moniak, if college bats included then prob #3 with Lewis slotting ahead of him. Ray close, too. Gets tougher when you add the college guys.

Heard aramis ademan looked real good stateside. Did u get a look?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:12
I have and yes, excited to see him here full time next year.

What do you think of Marcos molina
Eric A Longenhagen
1:13
92-95 has touched 96. Good athlete, body, flexibility. I've seen a cutter, slider, curveball and changeup and think the slider is plus, change could be with time. Not sure if he has starter's command but the stuff is great.

How do you see Kyle Holder? Great fielder, but can he hit?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:14
I did not think he would hit when i saw him with SD but haven't seen him in pro ball.

Which farm system would you say currently has the best batch of future relievers?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:15
Weird but cool question. Give me a second to think about that one...

What are your thoughts on Jarlin Garcia
Eric A Longenhagen
1:17
92-95 with a head whack, plus change, fringe slider and curveball. Probably a reliever.

Speaking of the Cape, why isn't the Northwoods taken more seriously among scouts? Too many non-prospects playing?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:18
Scouts who have it as part of their coverage take it very seriously it's just under-reported because it's the NIT of summer leagues.

Albies, Allard, and D.Peterson for Chris Archer?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:19
If I'm TB I'm considering that.

Would there be any scenario where it would be worthwhile for a team to blow past the draft budget period and sign as many over slot deals as possible? Or would that strategy just end up cluttering your lower level minor leagues too much with lottery tickets?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:20
Teams have discussed it but the reality is that other teams can hatedraft the guys you're targeting to keep them away from you where as in LA it's all about who's offering the most money.

Thanks for chatting, Eric! Most overrated prospect, in your opinion? Also, does anyone call you E-Money?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:22
I won't call him overrated because he is really talented, but I've always been lower on Glasnow than everyone else. I just worry he's a reliever. And no, nobody calls me that unironically. My cousin Phil calls me E-licious and a few baseball people call me El Pulpo but those are the extent of my nicknames. Longenhagen isn't easy to twist into fun knots.

Seems the shine has come off O'Neil a bit in AZ. Reason to be concerned or was this who he always was?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:23
Good question. I'm still trying to decipher this for myself. He's certainly got power, runs well, has made athletic plays in the OF but the quality of his contact has generally been poor. Not sure about the hand-eye.
1:24
Still think he's a big leaguer but not sure he'll do what he did with Jackson there.
The A Train

Brian Cashman once said that he thought Clint Frazier had "legendary" bat speed. While that's certainly hyperbole, how would you describe it?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:24
It's legendary in that the media, including me, has lauded it and justifiably so it's exceptional.

Do you think Andrew Toles is a mlb starter? Seems like he always had the tools, but was a guy who kept getting in his own way.
Eric A Longenhagen
1:26
I have a 45 FV on him in the Dodgers list. Issues vs LHP are troubling, pitchers started to figure him out late last year. A big leaguer for me, more of a platoon guy who plays everyday because the defense is good.

1:27
Where would Gurriel Jr rank on your prospect list--top 50, top 25?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:27
Not top 100.
1:28
I got a lot of UTIL, 2B/3B/Of types of opinions from Int'l directors on him. He's not an elite talent.
john wick
1:28
Speaking of Montas, where do you see his future?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:28
Bullpen for me but he'll probably begin next year in Nashville's rotation.

What is Collins' hit tool and defensive tool at catcher versus Schwarber at similar stages in their career?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:29
Collins' bat is not what Scwarber's was at IU.
Coppy
1:29
Do you think Braxton Davidson can get back on track to become a major league starter?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:29
Liked what I saw from him during instructional league and yes, I think he's better than the year he had.
