Is Jorge Mateo as fast as Bill Ham?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:33
No, Hamilton is super human

What's the difference between Victor Robles and Ronald Acuna? They seem to have very similar profiles, but Robles gets a lot of hype publicly, while Acuna seems to be considered a fringe top prospect by many publications.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:33
Robles has more speed, better defensive profile, Acuna has more power.

Gavin Ceccini was a first round pick seems like a solid player for the Mets farm, but I never hear his name when they're discussing the future. Does he have a roll there?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:34
A 40 FV at best for me. Can't play SS, groundball-only swing that I don't think works in the big leagues. I'm off him.

12:34
do you think Nimmo ever becomes more than a 4th OF?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:34
No

12:35
What is Domingo Ascevedo's upside as a reliever? It seems like it should be super high considering his velocity and control
Eric A Longenhagen
12:35
Setup type, maybe a touch better than that

12:35
Will Dom smith hit for enough power to be a starting 1B?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:35
I believe so

Is a jump to full season ball from the DSL too crazy for an 18 year old with a supposed skill-set like Andres Giminez?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:36
I like the way you think.
If he looks good during ST, I'd endorse that.

Best name of any MiLB player?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:37
Richard Lovelady in the Royals sytem

Thoughts on the B-Mets' new name: the Binghamton Rumble Ponies?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:38
I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say it's an abomination on par with some of man's greatest atrocities.

I have decided to figuratively die on a hill, and that hill is Rockie Tom Murphy. Is it impossible to imagine him having a higher WAR than Gary Sanchez over the next 3 years? If not, is that largely based on Sanchez's better defensive profile?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:40
I think Sanchez is going to be overvalued in your fantasy drafts because of the year he just had and that Murphy might be a better value but Sanchez is a catcher with like 70 raw power and an 80 arm so, just from a prospect perspective, I'm taking Sanchez.

True or false: the realistic bad-case scenario for Dylan Cozens, where his power is mostly park-related like many fear and he never figures out lefties or quality breaking balls, is still a major league bench piece.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:40
Probably true. The power is real, independent of park. It's whether or not the output can continue that is the question.

Where would you rank the new Padres (Cordoba, Torrens, Diaz, Baez) in their top prospects list?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:41
Diaz, Torrens, Cordoba, Baez. All would be 40 or 35 FVs.
Torrens would be at the top if not for the shoulder thing.

Who fills my 12th and final keeper prospect slot: Luis Ortiz, Yohander Mendez, or Thomas Szapucki?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:41
Mendez, slam dunk.
Andrew
12:41
After the top few guys, what prospect should Mets fans be most excited about?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:42
Any International signee. Mets International department is way underrated.

You've recently mentioned hearing from at least one scout that Tucker was more highly though of than Newman. Do you personally feel this way as well?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:42
Not at the moment but I reserve the right to be swayed when I do the Pirates list

Will Albies make a significant contributing to Atlanta at any point in 2017?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:43
Probably not

12:43
Thoughts on AJ Puk?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:43
Huge lefty with rare stuff, 93-96, plus slider. Bad body, back issues, questions about the command and athleticism. I was lower on him than most at draft time but he was still, objectively, a top 10 talent. Lefties with that kind of stuff and size don't grow on trees.

Any precedent of a guy like AJ Puckett, who has a good pitcher's frame at 6'4, improving the plane/movement on their fastball as they develop?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:44
Yes but for Puckett that would probably involve a change to the way he uses his lower half during delivery. He lacks plane because of the drop and drive. Would be a pretty significant change to take that away.
