Hey! Huge appreciator of all you guys do. What factors do you think play the largest role in a prospect's 90th percentile MOVING, rather than them just achieving it?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:40
Their org's dev team

I own Boston Baro in a dynasty league.  Does his spring breakout performance and added weight make you more bullish on his future power (and overall) potential?  I know he was p2c…. Also same question about Mikey Romero, if you have the time!
Eric A Longenhagen
12:41
More "confident" than "bullish" I'd say on Baro. As you note he was a Pick to Click to be on next year's top 100, added strength just puts him on that track rather than trending north of it. Romero's hands in the box look rad, I agree. Shot to be on there next year, too. Let's see how the defense looks.

Curious if you have a favorite Phillies prospect outside of the top guys like painter, miller, etc.

I'm an Aroon loon.

Tough camp for Edgardo Henriquez. Do you think he'll pitch meaningful bullpen innings for the Dodgers this year?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:42
Maybe late, it's his foot not his arm.

What are your thoughts on Alan Roden's spring? Has he improved a lot since last year or still a likely platoon corner OF?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:43
I'll update his report on the Blue Jays list for Mon/Tue, just wanna see everyt CF rep this spring. Watched every swing from ST on Wednesday, think my offseason report (which you can find on The Board) still holds water in that regard.

Do you see Cole Carrigg having enough game power to hit 20 homers in the majors?  Does he end up strictly as a CF, or does he continue to bounce around?  Thanks!
Eric A Longenhagen
12:43
I'm a skeptic as far as his offense is concerned. Want to see him rove on defense if I'm right about the bat.

Horton's velocity is back to his pre-2024 levels. Is he likely to tick back up to a 55 if this sticks?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:44
No, his delivery scares me too mcuh to buy that he'll do it in perpetuity. Still good.

There was an article on mlb.com that basically said the Brewers like Luis Pena as much as Jesus Made. Do you think Pena has that kind of ceiling?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:44
I think they're both rad, yes. Pena is the more mature defender right now. Made's ceiling as a switch hitter tho....

What does it mean for a slider to have "depth"?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:45
The amount it bends downward is its depth

12:45
Have you seen anything from Jackson Ferris this spring that changes your evaluation of him?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:45
Definitely throwing harder than last year. Basically sat 93 in '24, now more 95-96

Did you see Jarlin "The Leviathan" Susana in the breakout game?  Sounded like he had a hard time with the control.  With the way last season progressed, do you see him starting the season in Hi-A and finishing in AA, spending the whole season in AA, or other?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:46
I did not because MLB.tv, for whatever reason, did not log all the breakout games in full. They have condensed games and highlights but not total games. I was bummed, and then taped whatever games replayed on Network to try to see as many as I could. I was at AZ games in person all weekend and only ended up watching TB/BOS, PHI/PIT, and TOR/MIN from the FL slate.

Love your work Eric.  The White Sox pitchers Burke, Smith and Taylor are getting buzz.  Similarly Roupp for SF.  Which seem the most impactful keepers?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:46
Astronaut Taylor
12:47
Coasting at 96-97 for me yesterday, secondaries look great, up to 101 in the big league games. Smith and Burke feel like long term relievers to me.
Roupp I haven't seen but had him in as a 45 while he was a prospect

Any surprises on the Blue Jays list? Guys you're particularly high or low on?
Eric A Longenhagen

I dig Grant Rogers
12:48
Was encouraged by Maroudis' velo before he broke
I love Bloss, claro
12:49
still not really on McAdoo

For those of us on the outside, we have no frame of reference for why players like Chase Burns aren't playing. It felt strange there was a big show of him being included on the Spring Breakout roster but then didn't play. Does this usually mean a silent, non-major injury? Is it mechanical issues they're working through?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:49
a great question that i also have
haven't seen him, was bummed he was listed second on their breakout roster's pitching schedule and then didn't go

Any good live looks at LDV or Salas this spring for you?
Eric A Longenhagen

Nah, that's one camp I haven't been to yet. Hoping they play SEA every day next week so I can double up them and TEX/KC
Highway closures here this weekend are killing me
