Eric A Longenhagen
12:09
Hello from Louisville.
Hotel wifi is no bueno so this might get choppy but we're going to try
12:10
I was on the podcast for today, so you can go listen to that
my daily notes are up, so go find those
12:11
And my draft board should be up soon, just needs Cistulli's touch
Okay let's start
Bob
12:11
How good can Eric Pardinho actually get? Still 16 and some of the stuff I watched from clips is filthy
Eric A Longenhagen
12:13
Stuff is pretty good right now, yes. But not much projection on the body. Could be one of these physically mature pitching prospects with the pitchability to move quickly but we won't know that until we start seeing him in games. I like Pardinho but he shouldn't be one of these mega-hyped prospects in my opinion.
Larry
12:13
Any thoughts on new Cardinals prospect Juan Yepez?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:14
Basically the same as what I wrote on the Braves list and on Twitter at the time of the trade. Most have him projected to 1B, he has the power to play there but his approach needs a lot of work and he's had some injury issues.

Bo Bichette has helium! Has his outlook changed based on his play this year? Will he be a Top 25 prospect at year's end?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:14
Definitely moving up, top 25 is way too aggressive.
I'm still getting reports of him over swinging, by the way.

12:15
Luis Robert is a XX FV prospect.
Eric A Longenhagen

Forrest Whitley is crushing it. What holes in the armor are you seeing?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:15
Other than proximity? None. He's an excellent prospect.

12:15
Where you surprised at Blake Snell's struggles? Do you have have hope he can figure it out and and be at least a mid rotation starter?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:16
Not really, and not because I didn't think highly of Snell as a prospect but because it's common for prospects to struggle in the Majors initially. I think he figures it out.
Patrick
12:17
How much of the Kingery power surge is sustainable and how much of it is SSS noise? Does he make it to Lehigh Valley before July?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:20
There's a clear alteration to his batted ball profile so far this year so some of it is real but we've been through this with Reading a lot, Pat.
Neema
12:22
If he can ever discover consistency and maintain better conditioning, what is the ceiling for AJ Puk?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:22
#2/3 for me
Philip
12:22
Is there any realistic chance Lauer can be a mid rotation starter, or is he only destined for backend without a 60 pitch?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:22
Back end guy for me but that's about what you'd expect from a guy drafted late in the first round.
Timothy
12:22
Does David Paulino project to be a 4th/5th starter type or a long/middle inning reliever?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:22
I have him in as a starter but there are definitely scouts who say relief.
Hank
12:22
Draft strategy question -- the Braves got their draft haul last year by saving money at 3. I don't think they can do that this year, so does it make it more likely they truly go BPA at 5? Or could they still try to save some money and target some at 41? A popular prospect site had them taking Pratto at 5 and using the savings on Tristian Beck at 41.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:23
They'd have to take a huge cut at 5 and I think the top tier of players is 5 deep so it's not something that looks like an obvious fit to me, but I haven't heard either way. Have heard them connected to Beck, though.
Patrick
12:24
Austin Davis: any back-end ML bullpen potential there?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:26
The KC one? low to mid-90s, chance for plus change. More middle relief chance for me.
Adam
12:26
Willie Calhoun's bat seems ready and he could probably be one of the better leadoff hitters in the game. Could he be adequate in LF or is it still a DH or bust thing?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:26
DH

12:26
Daniel Johnson is generally described as twitchy and athletic, and he's also been hitting this year. Is he getting any attention?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:26
Yes, I've written about him and discussed him in chats.
Frank
12:26
What do you think about Pratto's bat? Is he athletic enough to play the OF?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:27
I like him, maybe less than others do, but I like him. Bat is really quick into the zone. Might be able to play OF but could be 55 or better at first base so not a guy teams are looking to move based on what I've heard.
Asdrubal
12:27
Does duplantier have a higher ceiling than a 4 or 5?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:27
Ceiling? Yes.
Matt
12:28
When. Will your draft rankings be available?
