Who has the best helmet throwing tool?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:14
Tom Sizemore
Ryan
1:14
Kyle Funkhouser has pitched well this year, already receiving a promotion. Will he prove to be steal for the Tigers?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:14
Sure as hell looks like one right now. Velo is back, slider is back, changeup is better.
Matt
1:15
Has anything Chance Adams has done so far this season changed your outlook on him from your report this offseason?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:15
Another guy I'm seeing tomorrow (that's right, four games tomorrow) so check the daily notes on Thursday.
Greg
1:15
Your thoughts on Alec Hansen? Future top 100 prospect?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:16
If he keeps throwing strikes, yeah. Has great stuff. 94-97, chance for a six breaking balls, huge extension.

What's the highest overall FV you ever put on a draft prospect and who was it?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:17
I've only been doing the FV dance for a year now, and have put 60s on 3 guys (wright, Greene and Ray)

1:17
Is Clint Frazier's power surge legit?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:18
I think the question is, "why, when a prospect has had huge raw power since he was in high school, did we ever think he didn't have power?"
Sergio Mendes

Brazil is looking more and more like the next big pipeline of international talent. Which teams ahead of the pack there (or in any other non-traditional baseball countries)?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:18
Seattle has had several guys come out of Brazil (Gohara, Vierra) and the Japanese influence in that country probably favors Seattle, too.
Neema
1:18
Has your overall assessment of AJ Puk improved since the beginning of the season?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:19
Yes. Body looked better this spring and the curveball reboot got a 70% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Are they any day 2 guys you really like? I'm intrigued by Noah Campbell and Caden Lemons
Eric A Longenhagen
1:20
Yeah, Lemons is interesting because of the physical projection. Mason House, the aforementioned Cave, Colton Hock all interesting to me. Estrada.

How concerned should I be by the relatively quiet season Rutherford is having in Low A?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:21
Very little, most high schcoolers are still in extended at this point.

Do you have anything interesting you could share on some of the Pads' J2 class in AZ like Almanzar, Rosario, Barley, etc?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:22
Haven't run into Almanzar. Rosario's timing is off right now, looks fine physically. Barley has gotten stronger and is taking huge hacks. Lopez and Arias look like defensive aces. Miliano sitting upper 80 with plane and strikes. It's a great class, very excited for the AZL

Should I give up on JP Crawford or do you think he still has a chance to be something?
Jeremy
1:23
Phillies fan here. JP Crawford now has 580 PA of slashing .230/.325/.302 in AAA. Should I start panicking that he can't make adjustments, or (gulp) that he's a glove-first backup without sufficient pop to start in the majors?
The Sarris Wheel
1:23
Do you still attribute JP Crawford's 2017 struggles to his typical adjustment period, or is it time to worry?
PD
1:23
What's wrong with JP Crawford?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:23
Folks, I wrote about him today and literally posted a link at the beginning of the chat. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/instagraphs/daily-prospect-notes-530/
1:24
Please read my stuff so I can keep having this job instead of cherry picking advice for your dynasty league in this chat and on twitter.

Who are the fastest risers out of the '16 class so far? Any surprises there?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:25
Bo Bafette.

If a team were to develop a two-way player, are they most likely to do that with a first rounder or a late rounder? A college player or a high school player?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:26
Teams like to experiment with fringe guys but, if someone were viewed as likely to reach the bigs at all as either an arm or bat, he probably goes in the first two rounds so there's a selection bias inherent in the answer to that question.
1:27
And probably a college player since the player has already essentially had three years of development as a two way guy.

1:27
Has Eric Lauer improved any of his offerings to the point he could be more than a 4/5 or 5?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:27
I think you've got the right range of outcomes there, 4/5
Mitch
1:27
What's wrong with Josh Hader? This just Colorado Springs or are there larger concerns?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:28
Haven't heard of the stuff being down, CS just eats guys alive.

Dustin Fowler: What do you mean avg everyday? 270-15 Hr 15 Sb Good D?
Eric A Longenhagen
1:29
Yeah, maybe more precious steals.
