Good morning from Tempe, everyone.
Had upload issues with the Norge Ruiz video overnight. I'll tweet a link when it's up so you can all get a peak.
Alright, let's do it.

Who are some of the biggest non-top-100 prospect movers this year so far?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:07
Bo Bichette, Jesus Sanchez, Jack Flaherty, some of Philly's arms probably move into the 100. I could sit here and come up with another dozen or so that moved up because of graduations ahead of them.

Hey Eric, thanks for doing this. Do you see Chance Adams or Luke Weaver (pending injury) making a big impact ROS? Are there any other pitching prospects you see making a bigger splash, especially with trade season looming?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:09
Yeah, I've heard NY is shopping around for a starter and some scouts think Adams is the guy they're looking for. They both have big league stuff and some semblance of pitchability, though Adams needs another trick or two to get through a lineup 3 or 4 times.

Hey Eric. Have you seen Brault this year? Does he project more as a SP or RP? Thanks
Eric A Longenhagen
12:10
Still hold out hope he can start but, as athletic as he is, scouts I know who have seen him this year say he still has release point consistency issues that limit his command.

What does Dillon Tate need to show to have his value rebound?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:11
Maintain health/stuff for 20+ starts

Is Miguel Gomez a major league starter? He continues to just hit at every level.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:12
Has more of a bat-first utility profile for me.
Russell
12:12
What type of future do you ultimately see in Chase Vallot? 16.8% Walk Rate, 35.6% K Rate, and has a .225/.368/.450 slash line.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:13
Depends almost entirely on whether or not he catches and I don't think he can.
Larry
12:14
Kyle Wright fits in where on your Braves rankings?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:15
Well, I have a 60 FV on him. Swanson (1 on offseason list) graduated, Albies (2) is still a 60 and Acuna (3) has moved up from a 55 to a 60, so Wright is probably 3. You could make an argument for Gohara, Allard or Soroka as a 60 too, I guess.

Malique Ziegler is off to a great start in NWL. Did you see him in XST and thoughts?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:18
I did. Swing has some natural loft, hands/wrists are sneaky strong. He runs well. Mid-western pedigree means development might come late. He's kind of interesting.

This offseason, you had Aiken, Hillman, and Kaminsky as the 2-4 pitchers in Cleveland's system. If you did it again today, would three new names be in those spots?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:20
The strike-throwers, in some order. Julian Merryweather probably tops them. Shane Bieber, Matt Esparza, Tom Pannone deserve consideration.
Ray Liotta as Shoeless Joe
12:21
Eric, you mentioned in a recent chat that you played MLB Showdown by Wizards of the Coast. What years did you play? Any particular favorite cards?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:21
Most heavily 2001-2004, the 2001 aesthetic was my favorite.
Buff
12:22
Shed Long, Bryan Reynolds, and Christian Pache all got consideration for you preseason top 100. Add Taylor Trammell to that list. Top 100 by now? Who looks best?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:23
Pache probably has the highest ceiling of that group, Reynolds struggled early and made adjustments.

I've seen a lot of hype about brandon marsh recently with his hot start. Is the hype legit?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:23
I ranked him #2 in that system, ahead of the guy they took ahead of him in last year's draft, so yeah I'm in on Marsh.
Matt
12:23
How much has Cub SP pipeline improved in the last year or so? Any of those guys have front-end of rotation ceilings?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:24
Maybe as an absolute perfect-world outcome, yes. But it isn't likely.

A number of the Padres 2016 Intl signees (Justin Lopez, Luis Almanzar) are at Tri-City and performing well in the early going. How aggressive is this placement? Who should I be watching for on that Tri-City team?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:26
Not uncommon for J2 signees to make their affiliated debut in short-season ball, but definitely a sign the org feels good about those guys. Anyone on that roster born '98 or later is a name to watch.

12:26
You ranked jeisson Rosario ahead of Luis almanzar in the offseason on the padres prospects list, but almanzar is hitting well to start his career in short A while Rosario is just starting in DSL. Did anything change or just the padres know more about their guys?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:26
Rosario is here in the AZL. Timing and bat path looked wonky in Extended. Bat speed and strike-zone feel still there.
12:27
Just remember development is non-linear.

What are your thoughts on Estevan Florial's year so far? Not sure if you have seen him but just scouting the statline, seems like the K% a major danger. But performance so far is excellent.
Eric A Longenhagen
12:27
You're on it. Power, speed, strikeouts. Typical RF profile. Big tools, substantial risk.

Anderson Espinoza has been sidelined for the first half with elbow issues. He's supposedly begun his throwing program. What might be better for him ... to throw 30-plus innings this year, or essentially take the year off and work on strength, flexibility, etc.?
Eric A Longenhagen
12:28
He's gotta throw. A year off doesn't help him develop better command or build his work load. Could see him in the Fall League or a winter league.

Saw Brady Singer last night, does he need to add significant weight to convince teams he's 1-1 caliber?  Looked pretty skinny to me.
