I've noticed a lot of people online really believe that if a position player isn't starting 162 games a year then their team is crazy or not using him optimally. I don't get it.

Opening day does feel a bit different. I think if this were a random Thursday no one would care. Like, give Colas an opening day start to celebrate making the team imo

This might be the first year since 1966 that I haven't been excited about Opening Day. This year reminds of my college days, 1960-64, when a few of us would go to Fenway and sit alone in the box seats. I am 81 and and I am definitely not into a rebuild.
