130 in 2022 and 99 in '23 — that's a lot of missed time, not that it's all attributable to HBPs. I was referring more to the fact that he's a guy who plays through a lot of of minor nagging things (back, esp) and his production tends to suffer for stretches

The Book had the #4 hitter more important than #3 but that was done like 15 years ago, and I seem to recall other studies downplaying the #4, so... I think in general you want your best hitters to bat the most and if Cronenworth is one for the Padres.... <glances at roster> woof.
