They had the club personnel tell the player via a giant zoom video board how great they were. "Tell Eric how much you like his game." and Danny Briere had to be like, "yeah, we love how you skate and we know you're a good person." it was odd
ESPN seems like they're trying to be lean with this stuff

I wouldn't presume that. If you didn't think he'd be there when you picked, like it seemed several teams did not, you wouldn't have had reason to do makeup work like that.

It's gotta feel awful when you're a small program and you freaking nail it, land a super talented recruit for your program, and then everyone else gets on board
I guess the portal does a version of that to everyone now
I'm not lamenting the portal overall but i feel for that recruiter
