@TStats yeah, they show the crowd doing the chop :P
Paul Sporer
5:26
I'll try to use commercial breaks for non LAD/ATL-related stuff. We have some good Qs in queue related to other team offseasons
Quarantino Martinez
5:26
Anything more than a cold streak behind Trea's post-season struggles?
Paul Sporer
5:26
Awful luck. He has scalded the ball multiple times for naught
Cito's Mustache
5:27
The Braves bullpen has been incredible this postseason. Dave Roberts probably wishes his bench included better hitters than Beaty, Souza, and Barnes, huh.
Paul Sporer
5:29
How many benches are that much better, though? And at least 2 of the 3 are set up to handle their best RPs: Matzek/Smith
Henry
5:29
My wife calls Justin Tuner Snuffleupagus
Quarantino Martinez
5:30
Is it just coincidence or truth in longstanding biases that the NL games have been low scoring/small ball and the AL ones slugfests?
Paul Sporer
5:30
I've also heard him compared to someone from He-Man named "Gwildor"
Luke Hooper
5:30
I think it's some of both. All four of the NL teams had great pitching, while the Stros and Sox lean more on hitting.
Alright, gonna have to look up Gwildor now.
Paul Sporer
5:30
Tend to agree w/Luke, though in HOU's case I think they were force-shifted to more hitting this series w/McCullers being out and then Garcia & Urq getting smashed
Quarantino Martinez
5:31
There's also Pujols!
Luke Hooper
5:33
This does feel like the Dodgers worst bench in years (not saying much as they always have great benches) but they also have their best lineup in years. Less room or need for a platoon type bench.
Steve Nebraska
5:31
Gwildor, that's great, I can see that... Haha
Fire Ken Tremendous
5:31
Beaty < Pedersen and Souza < Hernandez
Paul Sporer
5:31
You weren't keeping Enrique to simply be a bench bat so he's not comparable to Souza IMO
5:32
and Pederson would get destroyed by Matzek & WSmith
jj
5:32
5 batted balls so far and each has been over 95mph
Belli Flop
5:32
JT also reminds me of Gritty
Henry
5:32
I wish Acuna was healthy. Would make this Braves team a lot more exciting.
Paul Sporer
5:33
If we turned off injuries, the DOdgers would get Muncy back, too (they aren't the same, but it would cut the advantage ATL got by magically erasing injuries... plus Kersh for LA)
Steve Nebraska
5:33
Looonnnggg first inning for Morton, yikes
Paul Sporer
5:34
2 pitches from the red line: 30 pitches
TStats
5:34
Morton cant find the zone at ALL
Charlie Morton
5:34
Where’s the zone? Why can’t I find it?
Luke Hooper
5:34
I'm still confused why Bellinger is seeing so many breaking balls lately.
RTJ
5:35
the simple fact of not having a DH must account for some measurable decrease in scoring anyway
Paul Sporer
5:35
Also helps, of course, in terms of the disparity
TStats
5:37
so who is eating innings for the braves today, morton only getting about 90 pitches (3 innings)
Paul Sporer
5:37
Jesse Chavez?
Luke Hooper
5:37
He's kind of living with zero pitches right now. Two whiffs on 32 pitches!
T
5:38
Is this gonna be a multi inning Smyly game
Belli Flop
5:38
J. Chavez warming
Paul Sporer
5:38
Either could work, yeah
B’Ryce Hammer
5:38
Jesse Chavez feels like he’s been pitching since I was a kid
Paul Sporer
5:38
Depending how old you are, he has... he started in 2008
B’Ryce Hammer
5:38
no belli bomb, but a belli walk is no belli laugh.
Quarantino Martinez
5:38
The Salt is losing some flavor
Luke Hooper
5:38
Wow, huge out there. Felt like the game was deteriorating quickly for the Braves.
