I do think that
Kevin Goldstein

It was a pleasure to meet him and spend oh such little time with him before the world went to hell in a handbasket.
Ben Clemens

I regret thinking I disliked Dusty and liked TLR when I was a young impressionable Cards fan

Gimme a hyped up Brett Gardner
Kevin Goldstein
6:27
Yes, would terrify me.

Yan Gomez does MMA.

Goodness GRACIOUS
Kevin Goldstein
6:27
Good lord.
Ben Clemens

Altuve hit that to Naperville
(I don't know many Chicago suburbs)
Kevin Goldstein
6:27
That tracks fine.
6:28
110/27 on that HR.
6:29
Eric Lauer not pitching especially well, but getting out of jams at least.
6:30
It's been kind of amazing, but I like low scoring games.

The Brewers and Braves are going to see who can lose by scoring negative runs. Team that merely doesn't score anything wins.
Kevin Goldstein

What game would you most want to watch based only on the score??

Is that final score?
Or I'm turning it on in a random inning?
Kevin Goldstein

Final score
Ben Clemens
6:33
I guess I'm not sure if I know the score upfront
Last night's Giants game was fun but it really did feel like offense was a little bit too hard to get to

I wonder what response you'd get if you polled a random group in a sports bar or the bleachers. Presumably FG folks have a bit more appreciation for pitching--although the poll is not leaning as heavily that way as I thought it would as I type this.
Kevin Goldstein
6:34
Yeah, I'm also surprised by the results.

i usually don't watch games I already know the score of
Ben Clemens
6:34
But not who wins, let's say
Kevin Goldstein
6:35
I guess I should have said, which game did you enjoy the most after watching . . .
Ben Clemens
6:35
Yeah
I think that would have lowered my answer from 11-10 to 4-3
But  maybe not
I like a good run-scoring double
Kevin Goldstein
6:35
Charlie Morton bad pickoff throw and the Brewers have a runner on second with one out.
Ben Clemens

I suppose it depends on the pitcher, too
If I'm watching deGrom vs. Scherzer or something, I want 1-0
If it's Eric Lauer against Patrick Sandoval, that will probably not be a fun 1-0 game
6:37
sorry Eric!

I think it depends on what the last game I saw was. I love a good pitcher's duel, but after a couple of those I'm up for a slugfest.
Phil
6:37
It is so rare to see a pitcher get through 7 these days that it's become one of the most exciting things to me just because it feels special.
Slugfest
6:37
It's fun when there's lots of scoring and the lead goes back and forth a few times.  I enjoy a good pitcher's duel too, but sometimes it's just fun to watch offense.

It's not the final score, though, it's the lead changes / number of times someone gets in scoring position and doesn't make it. Game 4 from Rays-Dodgers and all that was way more exciting than an average 4-3 or 11-10 game.

Good points, all
