Hurts as a Mets fan to see Gimenez and Rosario in this game.  Terrific year by Lindor but the team would have been better off with Gimenez, Rosario, PCA, and the money rather than Lindor, Carrasco, and a 1/3 of a season of Baez.

I for the life of me do not understand starting Gonzalez (a not good fielder) in RF and Brennan (a good fielder not as good a hitter) as DH

This is about late-game PH scenarios. Brennan won't face a LHP, so if a LHP comes on, he'll get replaced and they won't lose their RF. The alternative is you have him in RF and are either limited in who can PH for him or have to move Gonzalez off DH and give up your DH.

It was fine, I guess? It was too cute, in my opinion; if you wanted to spend some money on filling the left side of the infield you could have done other things. But they had to do something about the infield, so relative to not doing something, great.
