What's up everyone? We'll get started in two

Which 2 of these 5 have the highest long-term upside? Wilmer Flores, Ty Madden, Jacob Misiorowski, Bryan Woo, Robert Snelling. Thanks!
Nicklaus Gaut

Woo and Madden. Woo is especially enticing considering how much he’s cut his walk rate early on the jump to Double-A while still maintaining the ridiculous strike-out rate.

Joey Ortiz is back up with the Orioles, but is he worth rostering now? It looks like they're maybe just got a short-term use and he'll head back down soon; do you think they may be transitioning away from Frazier now, and what do you project for him this year and beyond? His hit tools remind me of a young Carlos Baerga. thanks

It’s worth taking a shot in deeper (+15 team) leagues but without a lot of power his value is going to be heavily weighted by playing time and his full-time path looks pretty narrow, and will be even more so once Ramon Urias returns.
I do like him long-term, though - great hit tool and his glove is good enough to keep him on the field through any growing pains at the plate once they give him a true shot. And while power hasn’t really been part of his profile, he did show some really nice EVs in that little cup of coffee earlier.

AL-only league question: Alejandro Kirk has been an absolute zero so far this season (outside of OBP).  Any reason to keep waiting for a turnaround or time to cut bait, knowing that his replacement would be someone like Connor Wong or Eric Haase?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:02
Unfortunately, AL-only is one of the few places you probably can’t move on from Kirk yet considering what you’d be replacing him with. But if he doesn’t start at least warming up a little bit with the weather, Haase is gonna start looking a lot prettier.

Any idea if the Orioles are going to call up Colton Cowser soon?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:03
As crowded as the outfield is, post-June looks more likely now than before. But if he stays as on fire as he’s been, the rumbles are going to get a lot louder.

100 FAAB budget how much should I blow on Dominic to fill an OF vacancy- will he be up all season?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:04
~$5? Depends on how aggressive your league is with rookies. I wouldn’t go crazy because his long-term spot isn’t assured yet. Great start but a .485 BABIP says there’s some pain coming.

Is Josh Lowe for real in Dynasty, or flash in the pan?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:06
He’s for real in a vacuum but his practical value will continue to be limited by how the Rays will use him. Even with the Rays only facing one LHP starter since April 21, he still gets sat sporadically and that’ll only increase as the lefties balance things out. Easier to manage in a daily moves league but a pain in the ass for weekly.

In a Scoresheet keeper league what do you think of Anthony Volpe, Gunnar Henderson and Bobby Witt Jr. ROS and in the future?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:06
Apologies Mr. Gamble but I don't play Scoresheet. But in general:

Volpe

Witt

Henderson

What's the deal with Francisco Lindor?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:07
He’s fine. Everything (6 HR - 24 R - 31 RBI - 4 SB) is tracking toward his norms except for a .223 AVG that is weighed down by a .266 BABIP.
4:08
Everything will be good in the wash

Hey, Nick.  Thanks for answering our questions.  NL-only, 5x5 (SV+ HD instead of SV) weekly league.  Would you start Snell at home vs BOS, Wood at home for starts vs PHI and MIA, or pivot and go with Finnegan, who has 7 games this week?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:08
Wood, Finnegan, Snell - but depending on your team construction I could easily see a case for
Finnegan.
4:09
And you're welcome!

Nick, need a replacement for Cron at CI in my NL-only weekly 5x5, and the options aren't great: G. Cooper, J. Candelario, E. Sosa.  No obvious category preferences this early in the year, so I'm looking for PT and leaning Cooper.  Thoughts?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:10
You had me at Garrett Cooper
Eternally underrated. Eternally litters my teams
between IL stints, that is
Mervis, Kirilloff, Bohm
4:11
Just don't mention Kirilloff's wrist three times or it will poof into dust
two more now

How would you rank Bohm, Kiriloff, and Mervis for dynasty?
Nicklaus Gaut

the ol' answer first!

Which Pirates backstop prospect makes the best target in a keeper league?  It seemed like Endy Rodriquez was the better option to get to the majors quickly with Henry Davis having more overall potential, but with Davis' hot start and Endy's injury, which would you prefer?
Nicklaus Gaut
4:12
I think it's still Endy
