Hey everyone! Thanks for joining today. My name's Kyle Yates of the FantasyPros Football Podcast. I'll be answering your questions for the next hour! Let's get started.

Who is one layer you will have zero shares of even though you know having no shares could really come back to bite you when the Season ends.

This is a really good question and it comes down to ADP versus my rankings. What's the cost of this player versus where I'm going to feel comfortable taking them in drafts? The first player that comes to mind is Miles Sanders. Right now, he's going off the board pretty early in drafts and I'm not willing to spend that pick to acquire him. However, he's a talented player and it could certainly come back to bite me...

I have picks 5,6,7,13,14 in rookie superflex dynasty draft. PPR format, any suggestions? Should I try to package to move up to get QB or stay and take solid RB, WR? Thanks
Kyle Yates
1:03
First off, congratulations on owning that many picks! My answer all depends on your roster though. Do you have a desperate need for QB? Then I'd be doing everything I could to move up and get either Burrow or Tua. If you're set on QB, but have holes at RB & WR, I'd stay put and take the players that fall to me at each of those spots.

STANDARD NON-PPR 10 SF. KEEP 2... Drake, Chubb,Sanders, Fournette, Godwin. (Murray already kept)..
Kyle Yates
1:06
If it's non-PPR, I'm going to go with Nick Chubb there. He'll be a beast in that format. As for the other player, I'd be comfortable keeping Godwin to balance out my roster a bit there. While I like the other guys, those are the two I'd most likely roll with there...

Aaron Jones or Drake in Dynasty?
Kyle Yates
1:07
I'm projecting and expecting Green Bay to be a full on committee with Jamaal Williams, Jones, and Dillon all getting significant snaps in year one and beyond. Meanwhile, Arizona has Chase Edmonds and Eno Benjamin behind Drake. Jones will still be fantasy relevant, but Drake has the much higher ceiling.

Keeper league: Which two would you keep and loose the first 2 rounds in 12 team standard draft? MThomas, GKittle, NChubb, AJones, ARobinson, KMurray
Kyle Yates
1:10
If I can only choose two and it's in a Non-PPR/1QB league, it's Michael Thomas and George Kittle for me. Those two could very well finish first in their respective positions even despite the lack of PPR scoring.

What do you think Antonio Gibson's ceiling is this year? not where you have him ranked or what you think he'll do, but what is his best case scenario? could injuries put him into a lead role where he finishes as an rb2?
Kyle Yates
1:11
Gibson's super interesting because he was hand selected by this new coaching staff and they clearly have a plan for him. There's a strong possibility that he becomes the slot WR in this offense, while still seeing some work out of the backfield. If that's the case, Gibson finishing as a mid-RB2 is certainly in the cards. However, there's a lot that has to happen for him to get to that workload.

Cam Akers or darrell Henderson? And how can we be sure!
Kyle Yates
1:13
I personally believe that both are going to be fantasy relevant, but they'll cancel each other out. I have Henderson at RB37 and Akers at RB43 currently with Henderson being the predominant ball-carrier and Akers being the receiver out of the backfield. The part that sucks though...is that we can't be sure. This is going to be a rough backfield to try and project until we see it in action on the football field.

How many running backs would you draft ahead of Michael Thomas in full PPR leagues? Just CMC and Saquon?
Kyle Yates
1:14
You nailed it. If my starting spots are equal (2RB/2WR) than I'm only taking Saquon and CMC above MT.

Hey Kyle, love the Fantasy Pros weekly chats. Please keep them going. Would you rather have Zeke, Kamara, or Cook in PPR redraft? Who worries you the most from that group and why?
Kyle Yates
1:16
Thanks for the kind words, Steve! We're planning on keeping these rolling and we appreciate the questions! As for your question, I'm going with Zeke in that scenario. Kamara certainly gets a bump in full PPR, but I still have Zeke ahead of him and Cook. Kamara and Cook both equally concern me though due to their injury concerns...additionally, Kamara saw his TD opportunities decrease significantly last year, which is a concern moving forward. Cook will be rock solid as long as he's on the field.

12 Team Dynasty in its second year. I won last year so i have the 12th pick in the rookie draft. I traded my 2nd Rounder early last year for Paris Campbell so i have no 2nd rounder. Am i completely crazy for considering taking Antonio Gibson at 12th overall. After the first 5 picks or so, i see a group of about 10 who are very close together in value IMO. Of those players, Pittman, Mims,Higgins, and Moss is who i would be hoping for. Gibson falls behind them because of his unknowns, but his ceiling is so high and i would prefer to draft a RB vs a WR and my team is solid for this year so upside is what i am looking for...I am thinking of not wanting to stay just good, but go for greatness. Opinions?
Kyle Yates
1:18
Well, first off...congratulations on winning the league! As for your question, I think that's much too early to be taking Antonio Gibson. While I like Gibson, this isn't going to be a dynamic offense this season and there are still some very good players left on the board at the 12th pick. Ke'Shawn Vaughn has been at that spot in some of my drafts and I'd take Vaughn over Gibson nearly every time. If not, I'm looking to snag Michael Pittman Jr.

Who will be this year's Terry McLaurin?
Kyle Yates
1:20
If this question can be defined by "mid-range rookie who breaks out immediately", I'm going to go with Michael Pittman Jr. here. He's still incredibly undervalued in Dynasty leagues and he's walking into a guaranteed role in this offense. He's going to step onto the field week one and contribute and I currently have him projected for over 100 targets, which will certainly help his ascension.

What on earth do we do with James Conner in redraft? Where would you feel comfortable taking him or is this just a case where it’s best to avoid and leave to someone else to draft?
Kyle Yates
1:22
James Conner is one of the most difficult players for me to figure out. If he's on the field, he's a great fantasy asset, but he hasn't been able to stay on the field. With adding Anthony McFarland into the fold this draft, there's a possibility that the Steelers may look to keep Conner's workload lighter so he can stay healthy, but that limits his overall upside...he's honestly probably a player that I'll be avoiding on my rosters unless he falls a crazy amount in my draft and I can get him as my RB4/RB5.

how high are you on Hopkins this season? What about compared to Juju?
Kyle Yates
1:25
I like Hopkins this year! I currently have him at WR7 on the season. Meanwhile, Juju is at WR21. I believe that Diontae Johnson is going to carve into Juju's workload more than people realize and Eric Ebron is going to hurt Juju's TD upside.

Hi Kyle. Last year my (0.5ppr) league expanded from 12 to 16 teams. How would you change your approach to an expanded draft where depth at each position is particularly scarce?
Kyle Yates
1:27
Absolutely! Obviously, the starting positions requirements here are a factor. But in those deeper leagues, I love to load up on RB early on because they dry up quickly. WR is typically much deeper, so I'd look to load up on RB early and snag some WRs that you can rotate in later on in your draft. But the best way to experiment is to use the Draft Simulator over at FantasyPros with your league settings!

What is the ceiling for AJ Dillon long-term? Is the combination of talent and opportunity enough to pay up for him in dynasty?
Kyle Yates
1:29
I was not a fan of AJ Dillon's coming into the draft, so it was a shocker when the Packers took him in the second round. With Aaron Jones and Williams in the fold, it's unlikely that he sees significant work for fantasy football this season. There's a possibility that he carves out a significant workload over time, but I'm not going anywhere near him for fantasy football in 2020.

I think a potential find at late round QB is Teddy Bridgewater. Super high powered offense with a terrible defense. Most of CMCs work comes in the passing game. Concerns about ability to throw deep don’t seem to hold much truth. Thoughts?
Kyle Yates
1:32
The recipe is certainly there for Bridgewater to have fantasy value in 2020. This team is going to be bad in 2020, which often equates to garbage time scoring. Bridgewater is going to have to throw the ball a ton this season and he's got a solid group of weapons. He has a plus matchup in week one too, which should be a low-key shootout against Las Vegas. I'm willing to look his way late in my redraft leagues.

1:32
Hey there, what’s your take on the Lions backfield in fantasy this season or will you just be passing on them?
Kyle Yates
1:34
I certainly think that there will be fantasy relevancy from these RBs, but it's all about managing expectations. Neither Kerryon Johnson or D'Andre Swift is going to be a Top-12 RB, but they'll be useful to your fantasy team. I currently have Swift at RB24 and Kerryon at RB47.

I have picks 1.01, 1.05, 1.07 in my Rookie Draft. I want to go RB for all three. Obviously we don’t know who will be there at each pick. But would you go Taylor, Dobbins, Akers if they are still on the board?
Kyle Yates
1:38
I love going Taylor and Dobbins at the 1.01 and 1.05. That will be a solid RB pairing for years to come...I would seriously contemplate going with Ke'Shawn Vaughn at the 1.07 though before Akers. I have Vaughn rated higher...see if you can entertain a trade down to still get Vaughn and acquire more capital.

1:38
Is it better to keep draft picks in a dynasty league or multiple for proven talent?
Kyle Yates
1:41
This is such a good question. If you have the opportunity to move unproven players for proven, top-tier talent, you need to do that. For example, if someone is obsessed with rookie picks and wants your 1.01 and is willing to move Michael Thomas for it, you make that move every single time because you know who MT is and what he can do to your Dynasty roster. If someone is offering a mid-range RB though for that 1.01, it's probably worth betting on the upside of that prospect. Hope that makes sense...
CJ

I have the 1.09 in a dynasty startup draft coming up, is it safe to trust Chris Godwin at that pick? will there be enough targets for him to be a top ten or top five WR again?
