Kittle in the 14th round versus Jacobs at 2.8? That's not anywhere close to me, and it's Kittle easily. I mean, doesn't matter how many other tight ends will be kept. Not a hard choice IMO.

10 man Full PPR, I have the #1 pick and I’m taking CMC. But my next 2 picks are on the turn of 2 & 3. I was thinking about taking Kelce then Mahomes. What do you think?
Dan Harris
1:31
No issue with Kelce there, but I would not take Mahomes. I get it that in a 10-teamer it becomes a little more important to try to have elite players at positions, of course. But still, way too many quality RBs and WRs there for me to take the jump on Mahomes.

Hey Dan, What's your strategy in a superflex? Solidify QB strength early I would assume? I don't want to adjust my draft board too much but I think QBs will fly off the board early. It's 1/2 pt ppr if that matters. Thanks for the advice man
Dan Harris
1:33
Superflex is really tough and, to be honest, it depends almost entirely on how the draft unfolds. I've been in drafts where QBs fly off the board in Rounds 1 or 2. I've been in drafts where 6 or fewer have been taken by the middle of the third. I think, for the most part, you need at least one, absolutely, rock solid starting QB, which almost always means taking one in rounds one or two. After that, I'll have tiers, and just try to make sure I'm grabbing my second one before the quasi-reliable options are gone (think top-20-ish).

14 Team, 0.5 PPR League, I have the 9th pick.  I am leaning going RB in the first even if Thomas or Adams are still there.  Options tend to be CEH, Henry, Mixon, Ekeler, etc.  Do you agree with going RB over Adams or Thomas at pick 9?
Dan Harris
1:35
Yup. Thomas is 10th for me in half PPR, so I have all those options (except Ekeler) ahead of him. RB is king early.

what should I do with the 1.01 in dynasty? I’m torn between Taylor and CEH
Dan Harris

CEH

Dan, why are you so high on Emmanuel Sanders? He's a WR8, at best.
Dan Harris
1:36
Haha, this is a reference to yesterday's pod. Go listen but quick recap: there is no format for which Tags or Yates would draft Emmanuel Sanders. I have him as a high-end WR4. They yell at me. I shake my head. We move on to next player. It's fun!

How would you rank your top 5 RBs for standard leagues?
Dan Harris
1:37
CMC, Zeke, Saquon, Cook, Henry.

In a super flex keeper league and have Lamar Jackson I’ll be keeping in the 10th. Torn between Marquise Brown and Drew Lock as a 12th round keeper. Both have value at that position. Leaning Lock but Bown has potential to break out this year. Thoughts?
Dan Harris
1:39
Blurg. I really like Brown this year. Played through an injury, historically low pass volume likely to increase, another year of development. Hard to pass up a QB but I am not a Lock believer, so if there are enough available that you won't need to reach CRAZY high for a QB, I'd go Brown.

14 pick in a  ppr league,  should I go rb, rb, or  rb, wr Thanks for your time.
Dan Harris
1:40
Not a lazy answer, but it obviously depends. I've done both - the only thing I can't see is WR/WR. Really hard for me to see thsat as ever presenting the most value. All depends on who falls.

How do you feel about Melvin Gordon this year?
Dan Harris
1:42
To sum it up on in one word: conflicted. I like Gordon's talent, I really do. But I have zero shares this year. Not one. Have him ranked 23rd RB in half PPR and just . . . every time I'm considering him, I can't shake the fact that I don't trust Drew Lock, if I did, there are plenty of weapons, and the Broncos have always been a timeshare backfield. So, I'm fine with him, I'm not targeting him, and just a real low-end RB2.

12 team 1/2ppr. If you go RB in round 1, where would you draft Kelce/Kittle in round 2? Or would you go RB/RB no matter what
Dan Harris
1:44
Definitely not no matter what. I have Kelce at 14, Kittle at 20, so no issues there.

Standard league, how would you rank sanders, drake, a jones, ekeler
Dan Harris

Drake-Jones-Sanders-Ekeler

Picking 8th in standard league thinking of mixon, or CEH if available any thoughts?
Dan Harris
1:45
Mixon 7th for me, CEH 8th, a super thin line between them, so either works. I'd personally go Mixon.

How does your strategy change near the end of a draft if you are in a 10 man team? Do you still go heavy on the handcuff type league winners like Tony Pollard and Latavius Murray?
Dan Harris
1:45
Yup. League winners are what you're after there because everyone will have a strong team. An injury to Zeke, and boom, Pollard probably wins you your league. Same with Kamara. That's the right move.
Rob
1:45
How do you feel about Jerry juedy in half ppr? There's 14 teams
Dan Harris
1:47
Jeudy is my WR55, but he'll probably end up within my top 50 if there are positive reports. I love his talent - seriously, I expect him to be a star. But, I've said it a few times, I don't love Drew Lock this year, and I think it's going to be tough for Jeudy to get acclimated quickly with no preseason games and the strange camps. So, I don't mind rostering him, love his talent, not super excited about his fantasy prospects this year.

Is Taylor for the Indy Colts gonna be the the #1 back to start the season?....and if so, what comparable backs on that level?
Dan Harris
1:49
I don't think right out of the gate, and it's not really about that latest report about Mack - I've never thought that. Mack is a perfectly capable back who knows the system. No matter how good Taylor is, I couldn't see them just giving him the keys to the offense on day 1. With that said, he's an awesome talent, it likely won't take him long to dominate that backfield. So, draft him as a low-end RB2, just because of the likely early season Mack involvement. If we knew he'd be the starter from day 1, closer to an RB1.

Hey Dan, looking for keeper advice.. It's a 12 team, non-ppr, I have 2nd overall pick. I can either keep allen robinson (13 round value) or ekeler (6 round value).. Is Ekeler a stable RB2? thanks!
Dan Harris
1:51
Ekeler is for sure an RB2, even in non-PPR. No problem taking him there. It really depends on who else is kept, though. The value on Robinson is great so it depends on the quality of back who would be available to you with your next pick. If it's not quality, then take Ekeler. If it is, take the discount on Roninson.

Doing fab dollars for the 1st time any advice
Dan Harris
1:52
Great choice! First, don't be afraid to spend big early. Remember, half your league is going to fall out of it and probably stop paying attention mid-season, so you can probably get by with much less FAAB leftover than you think. But, at the same time, don't spend UNNECESSARILY early, because it's nice to be able to push people around. So, spend when you need to early, but not indiscriminately.

What’s your take on drafting a WR and RB from the same team? Like a Julio and Gurley or Cooks/fuller & Johnson
Dan Harris
1:53
Zero concerns about it. Might cap your upside a tiny bit. but if you're doing it in a good offense, should be fine. Take your best players.
Jim
1:53
Where would you take Gronk?
Dan Harris
1:54
Have him as my TE11 right now in 0.5 PPR. And like 115th overall or so, so basically 10th round in a 12-team league. I'm not reaching.

When do draft a quarterback in a 12 team .5 ppr?
