Hey everyone and happy draft weekend! I'm Bobby Sylvester of the FantasyPros Football Podcast and I'll be taking the next hour to answer your draft questions. Let's do this!

I just traded for Waller.  I don't think Ruggs hurts his value - what are your thoughts?
Bobby Sylvester
8:02
We knew rhe Raiders were going to take a wide receiver and the fact that it ended up being Ruggs is the best possible scenario for Waller owners. Ruggs is great at what he does, but he isn't a target hog like Jeudy, Lamb or even Jefferson. Not only that, but he will stretch the field as well as anyone which should enable Waller to find his way into seperation more often.

How early would you draft Clyde Edwards-Helaire in a ppr re-draft league
Bobby Sylvester
8:05
I know there are many suggesting Andy Reid will use a committee but there are so many examples of a running back being drafted in the first round and getting a ton of touches. There is only one example of the opposite but it happened recently enough that everyone worries about it. I'm expecting CEH to be the clear-cut lead back on the best offense in football so I'd take him in the early 2nd round.

Super confusing pick by the Packers.  They should be in "win now" mode, but they took a QB for the future.   Do you see other moves coming to make a 2020 run?
Bobby Sylvester
8:08
I was astonished they went this direction! 13 wins last season, 1 game away from the Super Bowl and they had one clear need (WR). Rodgers has at least two years on his contract and owe him guaranteed money for four years so it's hard to see Love getting starts any time soon. It just makes zero sense. No idea what the Packers will do at this point but if they don't take a wideout in the second, fans should lose their minds haha.

is joe burrow ceiling top 5, top 10, top 15?
Bobby Sylvester
8:09
I'm assuming you mean as a rookie because he has MVP upside eventually. This season, I have him ranked QB15 because of his weapons, the poor defense and much improved offensive line. I could see him finishing top 5, but I'd put the odds around 1 in 6 or 1 in 7. He runs the ball about as well as Romo/Rodgers always have but won't rack up the yards like a Lamar, Kyler or Josh Allen

Was Brandon Aiyuk a good pick by the 49ers? Would you have picked a different WR?
Bobby Sylvester
8:13
He wasn't my favorite wide receiver available but it definitley wasn't a bad pick like some of the extreme reaches we saw in the late first. Most importantly, he is a fit for what the 49ers are doing. Shanahan and Jimmy G run an offense with short and intermediate passes so he targets receivers who run well after the catch. Aiyuk may be the best in the class at that besides Shenault but is much more polished and doesn't come with the injury concerns Shenault does.

How far does Kerryon Dip with Detroit's Swift pick?
Bobby Sylvester
8:15
Players in situations like his have historically gone around round 9-12 range. I expect that to be the case here unless either he or Swift has an injury. I will be targeting higher upside RBs like Justin Jackson and Alexander Mattison in that range instead

Isn't Jonathon Taylor redundant to Marlon Mack?
Bobby Sylvester
8:16
Similar type of player but Taylor is the superior version. I don't imagine he will have any difficulty reaching 280 touches as a rookie, and behind that offensive line, that makes Taylor an easy 3rd round pick in redraft leagues.

Who is the 1.01 in rookie drafts with these running backs going to prime spots to succeed?
Bobby Sylvester
8:19
If you are in a superflex league, I'm going Burrow obviously, followed by Tua. But in a single-QB league, it's Clyde Edwards-Helaire and not especially close. Frankly, though, if I had the 1.01, I'd be trading back to 1.04 or 1.05 to grab Justin Jefferson in a prime landing spot

Kmet to the bears 🤦‍♂️
Bobby Sylvester
8:21
Tags and Yates are pulling out their hair. It's cracking me up. WHY!!!!? Can't understand this pick when they have 90 tight ends and other needs. From a redraft fantasy perspective, he is undraftable this season. TE26 in my updated rankings

How does Swift to the Lions impact his rookie pick overall? Not liking this one
Bobby Sylvester
8:26
Not the best landing spot! He was my RB1 in this draft class but will likely be my #3 or even #4 redraft running back. You can expect to see him go off the board around the 3rd/4th round turn. I still like him for dynasty, but probably not until 1.05 or 1.06 in rookie drafts.

Who can packers hope to draft to .... make up for first round pick.  Wr and d line right?  You think linebacker?
Bobby Sylvester
8:28
Donovan Peoples Jones would save their draft IMO. Doubt Denzel Mims slips that far but that would be a stellar pick as well. If they took Willie Gay Jr, Packers fans shouldn't be too upset. He is a high-motor, uber-instictual linebacker who will fly all over the field from day one.

What are the Bears doing Bobby?!  They're in win-now mode and they take a TE who most likely won't contribute at a high level until what, year 3 or 4?  I really thought they'd go DB to shore up that defense.
Bobby Sylvester
8:28
Noooooo idea! Crazy IMO. They need to pick Jeremy Chinn IMO. Good luck!

Do you see Josh Jacobs moving up fantasy boards with Ruggs stretching the field? Where do you see Ruggs going in dynasty?
Bobby Sylvester
8:30
I think this actually hurts his stock a little. Ruggs is a TD machine whereas Lamb and Jeudy are better and would have helped Oakland get into the red zone more often. I'm still taking him at the 1st/2nd turn, though ahead of every non-Michael Thomas WR and as soon as Mixon and Chubb are off the board.

What do you think of KJ Hamler’s potential and comps?
Bobby Sylvester
8:32
LOL love the name. As for Hamler, I don't recall seeing a piece like him---really unique player. Think Wes Welker with big play abilities. Would have loved to see him end up in Tampa. Really quality pick at this stage in the draft.

With the Colts taking Jonathan Taylor do you see a committee between him and M. Mack to start the season, with Taylor most likely getting the market share second half the season?
Bobby Sylvester
8:34
This is one of those situations where the veteran back is good enough that he might hold off Taylor until he is eased into the system, almost like Miles Sanders last season. I wouldn't be shocked if it's a 60/40 split in mack's favor for the first month then 60/40 after that.
cool 1

Ravens going WR here right?
Bobby Sylvester
8:37
Hey Bem Bem! I'd say 50/50 here with them also needing an interior offensive linemen like Nick Harris or an edge rusher like AJ Epenesa. If Mims falls, he HAS to be the pick. Wouldn't be shocked if they "reach" for Bryan Edwards, as he fits their scheme perfectly.

Quick dynasty rb rankings of those drafted so far?  Full ppr.
Bobby Sylvester
8:38
Clyde Edwards-Helaire >> Jonathan Taylor > D'Andre Swift. Dobbins has a chance to end up over Swift if he lands in Tompa Bay, Miami or Jacksonville, as there would be no competition for touches (assuming Fournette is traded and none of those teams sign Devonta Freeman or Carlos Hyde

1.01 in dynasty rookie... who ya got?
Bobby Sylvester
8:39
If SuperFlex, Joe Burrow. If not, Clyde Edwards-Helaire

8:40
Does it makes sense for Steelers to go WR here? they got bigger needs all around then another WR (and Claypool at that)
Bobby Sylvester
8:41
I was very surprised by this pick. They have more pressing needs IMO, but Pittsburgh is great at targeting wide receivers so it makes me wonder if I missed on Claypool. I can't see him getting on the field right away and won't be reccomending him in redraft leagues even in the late rounds. Expected them to grab someone on either side of the line instead.

Jalen Hurts to Philly.... Hrmmm
