to switch topic a bit, i am sorry i missed oax, but hear a number of big pieces were sold, and lots of deals made. anyone know any good stories? personally i am not as interested in the artist alley aspect of it all, but that looked good... as much as the collectors hanging with collectors and such aspect.

I feel bad for the artists at Cadence, fulfilling all those commissions, the packaging, the shipping, huge pain if you aren’t used to it.

i did like seeing the pics of collectors and companies making mini galleries and hanging stuff. it all seemed very organized and hopefully secure. hello! security... but from the looks of it there was alot of space to do theses things.

OAX question... did it seem friendly to those with a limited budget? I have not traveled for a con yet, I have only stayed local (anyone going to Phoenix Fan Fusion this year? :) ) but would love to go to a collectors convention like this. Also, is there any art trading type things going on? That could also be fun I'd imagine!

I suspect there will be a lot of calls for artists to go their own way, and skip reps. But what @Rick says is going to happen a lot if so.

Hey all! Sharing my recent experience with Cadence, paid up for a piece. Gave it a few weeks for them to ship, then dropped a couple of emails with no responses from any of the 3 guys there. On the 3rd Paolo personally replied to say he will get the guys on it. Eventually did get my piece so am grateful I didn’t get caught up on this
