Jimmy So---ummmmmm, yes

@Felix and Albert I find your topic of comic art in museums/exhibits from the secret files episode interesting. When the Marvel exhibit was in Seattle I was sort of bummed to see people obsessing over movie props but mostly ignoring the art. (Even the AF15 page!!)
Felix Lu
4:35
@Morgan...I'm not surprised at all...but I also don't think that appreciation will happen overnight...and I don't discount the possibility that appreciation will come in time...
Lambo
4:35
wait, we have a oligarch here?
Felix Lu
4:35
@Lambo...well...Albert is here...
David Blumer
4:35
@Simon I think we all agreed!
Marcus Wai

@paul pope New Mutants release date has been pushed back years.    Feige has been trying to bury it if not for contractually needing to be released in theaters first.

@Smon-- what Feix said. Corben is a god of comics and has a seat at the table of the true masters. The thing is, everyone is different and has different objectives.
Cristian C

I’ve gotta bow out. This was fun!
Felix Lu

@paul forgot to thank you for taking the time to do my Evangelion commission so well. appreciate that you learned a little about it!
David Blumer
4:39
@Paul and @Jason that piece is killer!
paul pope
4:39
Dylan--I don't! I've had chances, but honestly...the chance to work on his beautiful creations is enough for me...
Marcus Wai
4:40
@ paul pope if you're just talking mutants as the entry point, it'll be tough to recast the ones we're familar with, especially Wolverine.  They tried to skirt around mutants with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as "wonders".
Albert Moy
4:40
Sorry I am watching a toddler
Jason K
4:41
@albert how do you decide whether a piece is for your personal collection or to sell? any criteria? mostly nostalgia?
@david b thanks! but so everything from paul is pretty killer
Felix Lu
4:42
OK guys...we've been at this for an hour and a half now...gotta let Paul and Albert off the hook...so let's go lightning round if anyone has any last minute questions/comments!

ALG-- Italians understand LIGHT, and shadow. And I think there is a certain---insouciance-- to southern Euro cartoonists that I find magnetic. There is a theory about European artists that suggests the Northerners (Herge, etc) understand light and volume, because the light is diffused....the southerners understand contrast and line, because the light is strong...it applies to classical painters as well, it's an interesting theory. And I am very committed to keeping in the line of Caniff/Eisner/Pratt/Miller, so I want to find deeper understanding in the brush...
