@Lambo and others - I'm about to get a ton of art framed and plan to "float" it using archival hinges. Any chance that would damage the art? I don't believe so, but asking around to make sure

i don't think any more than if you did it the more traditional way. keep it out of direct light, sun light, etc.

@Rob Sanford is one of my faves. Proud to say I was the first to own Power Man & Iron Fist art. I have a dozen or so pages from Sanford and some amazing commissions. He's my man 50 grand.

@Lambo @Felix thanks! That makes me feel a lot better. About to get 15/16 pieces framed, so was sweating it a bit. Black out curtains + museum glass + lighting specifically meant for art, so should be safe re: light.

@rob my comic OA on the wall's floated using archival hinges. Had the hinges removed on some to swap the art out and can't even see where they've been. Like anything tho, make sure the person doing it knows what they're doing and how to remove them

here is a general question, for a local gathering of art show an dtell, is there a $ limit of your own art that you woudl be uncomfortable to bring?

@Malvin...you can be like some collectors I know who make copies of their art, and bring a binder full of the copies...not as fun but zero risk
Same guys drink non-alcoholic beer, too, is my guess...

@Felix If you have a nice large format printer, you can even print high-res scans of your art. Thery look ALMOST as good as the real thing.

I got a 4 x 5 foot canvas print of my SSB page done to display it without risking the real thing lol. Turned out way better than I thought it would
