@Pat...disappointed it took so long...
Keith Becker
8:27
@ian t we’ll ALWAYS be talking about how prices were less crazy in art
Josh H
8:27
I got to meet Dave Gibbons at an Apple store in Soho of all places just before NYCC 2012 LOL
John Butler
8:27
I happen to think this Ron Lim is a pretty good artist, too...
Grant Riddle

I had the opportunity to buy two Watchmen pages at $2,000 (Rorschach prison killing scenes) each in the early 2000s. I thought it was too much.
Benno
8:27
Hello John Butler btw-we need to catch up again soon. Apa already lonely without you!!
Keith Becker
8:28
@felix yeah he does lol
Tyler T
8:28
@Ron Lim I can only imagine what it would be like if you were.
Josh H
8:28
He sketched a Rorschach for me on my New York con envelope because I did not know that he would be doing a signing there ha ha
Chaykin Dude
8:28
Signing on late and can't stay long due to a family commitment.  @Felix... Thanks again for a another great SDFC!  Once again, I support the decision to avoid the auction method!
Felix Lu
8:28
Thanks Chaykin Dude!
Andy R

I spec'd on some books recently.  Several of the Ultra Mega sketch variants were only $9 via Midtown Comics.  I also got a VG copy of Warrior Magazine #1.
John Butler
8:28
@Benno! Miss you, buddy.
Andy R
8:28
(for you - regulatr for us)
Keith Becker
8:28
lol @pat/felix I’ve almost faked it a couple times
Matt Todd
8:28
@Andy yes sir. I had the good fortune of picking it up at that show. Dave was just the best and has always been so nice every time I have met him at shows.
Ian T

I still have been in right place at right time for a couple of oldies. rough issues, but Superman, 4, 10, Batman 10, Action 50, 60. What can I say love the oldies.
Comic Tropes

Am I too late?
Felix Lu
8:28
Are you the Youtube guy? Great show!
DWJ

I rmember doing a panel with Dave Gibbons where he was telling us how easy we have it with google images. He remembers having to write Scotland Yard for reference photos of the building, ha
Ron Lim
8:29
Thanks @JohnB

Watchmen was my first big win at Heritage. I was on the phone but my pre-bid held! Unimaginable now.
Felix Lu
8:29
Great win! And only in hindsight when you realize just how significant
Josh H
8:29
@Dan T, we should work out a trade for that sketch!!
Chaykin Dude
8:29

Felix Lu

Sigh...
ML
8:30
And it was (imho) a prime page
Keith Becker
8:30
@mike I also unsuccessfully tried for that previous page. Would have been a NICE set!
DWJ
8:30
Whaaaa @ComicTropes in the house! Thanks for the episode on my stuff, that was awesome.

I just went to Heritage to read up on that upcoming Watchmen page and see they've added two pages from Ronin #1 for that Signature, as well. I'm sure those'll sell for reasonable amounts.
Felix Lu
8:31
@BKV...I gotta look...two more from RONIN #1? That was the only issue broken up back in the day...
John Butler
8:31
I picked up a Watchmen page at Clink 8 or so years ago. It didnt sell and was offered after the auction. That wouldn't happen again.
