Aw you don’t like the memes?
Dan T

@Disgruntled - Dueling Dealers is pretty great.  They move product & entertain us.
Rob Rusch
4:57
@disgruntled Bill's show is really fun imo.
Ron Lim
4:57
@Disgruntled The OTHER one really is a bore.
marcus wai
4:57
It's all a matter if they learn from it or not nd adjust their pieces and prices to make deals
Chris S
4:58
Yeah DD is dopey fun and I have picked up a couple pieces there
Nathan K
4:58
@Rob but at least hopeful toy sales brought back Optimus a couple years later!
Felix Lu
4:59
To me, Bill figured it out...the pseudo-competition format...the comedy...the chat...all of it brings the eyeballs. It's comic art + WWE.
Pat L
4:59
@marcus - if they actually make deals you mean?
Ron Lim
4:59
I expected the Dealmakers show to have nicer pieces, but they've mostly felt like castoffs.
Tim J
4:59
@Rob, I know right.  I was traumatized for a bit after watching it. LOL. The animation in that movie was amazing and probably one of the reasons I love anime so much to this day.
Rob Rusch
4:59
@Nathan true! in that weird zombie arc
Dan T

I just bought my first Dueling Dealers piece from Anthony.  Some random Damage Control pages.

@Pat L I only see one guy making deals on that show and he's doing it reluctantly
Felix Lu
5:00
The one last week with Albert and Mike was the first one I watched live. And I understand better now why people tune in.
5:01
I made the effort because I figured Albert would have relatively high quality in his offerings. He did not disappoint!
Rob Rusch
5:01
@Tim I think it was probably my first intro to a particularly dark story. One of my favorite movies to this day
marcus wai
5:01
@Pat L when Jimmy Olsen asked Mr. B about it, Mr. B said he really didn't like to do the show and the other guys were talking him into it
Rob Rusch
5:01
The Albert / Mike show was really fun

Dueling Dealers gets chaotic if there's a lot of art in the recap.  I guess that can be called excitement.  I think the main goal is to sell art, entertainment is a plus.  Which comic-oriented yt shows provide entertainment beyond the premise of the show ?
Mark V
5:02
I rarely want to buy anything from Dueling Dealers but I live for Bill trying to wrangle Anthony into giving a sale price in the recap.
Pat L
5:02
@felix - yup that scalped cover went real quick!
Felix Lu
5:03
@Pat...and that's the crazy thing: Apparently it was on his site for months! And sold instantly on the show.
Other collectors wrote me after to see if I'd let it go!
Which just all points to how effective the show is for moving art.
Dan T
5:03
@Mark V - Anthony off the rails is so much joy
Mark V
5:03
That Dan Dare Gibbons/Bolland was the gem for me
Ron Lim
5:03
@felix I also think Mike tried harder because it was Albert.
Felix Lu
5:04
@Ron...no question. He doesn't bring a PEANUTS strip otherwise.
Rob Rusch
5:04
funny how that works
congrats on your pick ups on the show Felix!
Felix Lu
5:04
Thanks Rob! Just conceptual at this point, though...I've paid for them, but haven't gotten them yet!
marcus wai
5:04
@Ron Lim he had it planned for weeks
Pat L
5:04
@marcus - I’m going to crack that code sir
Felix Lu
5:05
@Pat..."Jimmy Olsen" is a cub reporter/art collector..."Mr. B" is a Dealmaker.
Chris S
5:05
@Mark V still kicking myself for hesitating
Rob Rusch
5:05
@Mark agree, that Bolland piece was incredible
Fabrice S
5:05
@Mark V: yes, remember buying this 2000ad at a newsstand. A true masterwork
Dan T
5:06
Meanwhile, everyone on Steg-Man & Friends just took their shirts off.
Ron Lim
5:06
@Felix I want a Peanutes strip so badly... just not 25k badly. Went for a Schultz sketch in the last Heritage but lost thta one too.
