Salmons didn't do a lot of art, but what he did was beautiful
Rod

@MarkV most of the licensed comics.  Get Along Gang, Count Duckula, etc weren’t Harvey.
Mark V
6:01
I'd love to get a Salmons Dakota North page
Ron Lim
6:01
I know Salmons, but was he on any book on a regular basis?
I love Rude, but I was cape and tights Marvel kid.
Scott B
6:01
Salmons on Dakota…YES.
Ron Lim
6:02
I did buy L&R on the strength of Jaime's cover from the TCJ ads.
Mark V
6:04
Ron - same
Andy K
6:04
@felix did you answer?
Scott B

Mister X is my fav 80's comic. Great work from the hernandez bros, the late great klaus schoenfeld, and some early work by seth!
Dan T
6:05
I'm reading Love & Rockets for the first time and love it.  There are so many moving parts and they're so good!
Felix Lu
6:06
Re: LOVE AND ROCKETS...are you guys familiar with Michael Apted's 7 UP series? L&R reminds of that.
Rob Rusch
6:06
I was born in the 80s, so wasn't reading comics.... In terms on what I went back and read, Watchmen was probably by far my favorite / most influential
Ron Lim
6:06
@Jim, also bought Mister X because of the Bros.
Andy K
6:06
@pulphope no Gen13?
Felix Lu
6:06
@Andy...that's '90s man...turn in your nerd card
pulphope
6:06
Watchmen, of course!! Best comic ever?
Mark V
6:06
Dan T -- I envy you reading it for the first time
Rod
6:06
I plan to finally read Watchmen, for the first time, this fall/winter.
Scott B
6:07

pulphope
6:07
@andyK no, sorry!
Absurd13
6:07
@pulphope that’s when I first found a copy of THB. Blew my mind
Andy K
6:07
@Felix all classics haha kidding on Gen13
Felix Lu
6:08
Was just talking to Lambo about Holy Trinity of '80s strips: CALVIN AND HOBBES, THE FAR SIDE, BLOOM COUNTY...man, we were lucky to get those EVERY DAY
pulphope
6:08
@andyK hahah
Mark V
6:08
Felix - I hope the 7UP series continues somehow, even with Apted's passing. Makes sense as a comparison with what Jaime's doing and, to some extent, Beto as well
Stefanomjr
6:08
X-Men 201
Mike Cichy

Calvin and Hobbes was my favorite
Scott B
6:08

@Stefano - Good starting point!
Rod

I recently acquired a Dennis the Menace Sunday strip by Ketcham.
Felix Lu
6:10
@Everyone...one more question from Paul...then it's dinner time! Thanks everyone!
John S
6:10
@Felix would you consider a Watterson original C&H strip a top 5 holy grail piece of comic art?
Felix Lu
6:11
@John S...definitely. Not going to happen, but can still dream!
Mike Cichy
6:11
Impossible to find a C&H
Doug
6:11
Nexus and American Flagg!
Stefanomjr
6:11
@Felix, I'm getting old and don't remember if you've addressed this in prior chats, will there be a NYFC?
Felix Lu
6:12
