Lord God we lift up to you all those families who have lost loved ones to COVID, those who lost a patient, for all those who lost a coworker, a neighbor a friend.  As the sun sets here in the Pacfic NW, may those suffering and hurting from their loss find a quiet comforting peace that only you can give us Lord.  May our hearts be filled with wonderful memories of days gone by.  May we seek forgiveness for the guilt or anger we may be feeling for not being able to be with those we lost in their final moments.  May we find comfort in knowing the health caregivers were there to ease their pain, calm their fears and comfort their loved ones.  May we find comfort in knowing they suffer no more. Help us dear Lord in the days to come to heal from our loss and rely on you for  peace, comfort and the love you so freely give. Amen

Today, Sunday April 19th, the Yellowknife Corps of the Canada & Bermuda Territory, replaced our virtual worship service with prayer slots throughout the day.  We ask that the Holy Spirit sweep across the world, seeking to destroy all that has gripped people as a result of this pandemic.  We ask for healing, freedom from loneliness, protection, strength, wisdom, joy, mercy, compassion, and trust.  Lord, you know the thoughts of our hearts this day.  May you answer prayer in your divine way.  Amen.

It's past midnight here in the UK and I'm finishing my time on the FollowTheSunCOVID19 blog. It's been a privilege to see the many prayers and messages that have been sent from around the world through this platform and on Twitter and Facebook.

My wife and I shared in a lovely season of prayer on this Lord's Day. When we finished, I felt our world-wide Tsunami Prayer today is one not of ocean storms and waves, but of a mighty, tsunami wind blowing from the eastern sunrise in Samoa to the very sunset in Hawaii. Holy Spirit- unseen, inanimate, blow where you will- across every land, upon every people, culture, race and tribe; that together we may know the King of kings and Lord of lords who died for our sins and rose again! Move Holy Spirit!

Praying Lord for all TSA officers and workers as they reach out to the communities they serve. There are no set hours for God's soldiers but we are called to to take time to restore mind, body and soul when serving others.  Please help everyone be mindful of their own well being as they will be no good to anyone if they do not take care of themselves.  TSA officers and employees are some of the hardest working people I know Lord help them to seek balance in their day to day responsibilities.  Give the divisional and territorial leaders the insight to provide the resources needed by the officers in the communities they serve.  The wisdom and trust in you Lord to provide those resources.  Most of all Lord, we ask for the opportunity while providing the basic needs of each person the opportunity to pray with and lead others to salvation. Amen

Father God, Praying for our front line workers in Wasington State and for those at St. Luke's Rehab where I work. Please protect our patients and colleagues from the virus.  Please give all hospital administrators and medical directors around the world the wisdom needed to make the best decisions as they are faced with challenges and combatting this virus. Amen

Lord have emery on us as we wait .  I confess waiting is hard but waiting is worship so I choose to worship You and draw close to Your plan for us as we look to You for help, healing and renewal of our love for each other and for You.  May those who do not know   You turn from sin and have peace in their hearts and embrace hope and eternity.  Holy Spirit  move on us and in us.  Amen

Father we lift up to you those who are homeless and those serving the homeless. Let those without a home feel your comfort and security through those who are providing help. Open their hearts to the message of eternal life through Christ our Savior. If they have never experienced the love of Jesus, we claim that promise for them now as they enter the family of Christ. Amen
9:54
Dear Lord thank you for another day to see the sun rise, to commune with you in prayer. I think of the hymn "Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine" and how privileged I am to be able to claim that promise each and every day.  Thank you Father for the freedom to worship you each and everyday.  Forgive me Lord for the days I have been lazy in prayer and taking time for your Holy Spirit to teach me and use me as you messenger of salvation, hope and eteral life. As we pray for this world during COVID, we thank you Lord for this time of respite, for the healing of our world's resources, for the healing of our family unit and spending time together.  For the ability to look within & ask ourselves some hard questions. One question being "What matters most to me?" This requires of me Lord,  to become vulnerable and real with myself and with you. It has required me to recognize times when I have given into my selfish ways, made material things of greater importance & not placed you first in my life, forgive me Lord. Amen
