I ask for help for those who are alone and afraid, as well as those who need material help. I am in a much better position personally now than in 2008-09, but I haven't forgotten what it was like to be that terrified I was going to end up on the street with no food. I give thanks that the Canadian and BC governments have made major efforts to help people and respond sensibly to this, but there's an awful lot that could still go wrong. I pray that there will not be significant food food shortages, and that there won't be a second wave. That they will find a vaccine quickly. I also worry what will happen when Covid-19 really gets going in poor countries, Lord, and in war-torn areas and refugee camps.  I also pray that we will all learn things from this that help prevent and reduce the severity of future pandemics, and get more sensible about having strong supply chains for essential items.

As the sun begins to set here, Belfast Temple (UK & Ireland) has just finished an online prayer meeting with our corps people connecting in prayer. May our faith be bold and may we invite God in to this pandemic because He has the power and authority to change this situation, to heal and to stop the progression of this sickness. Lord we might be contained at present - may your power be anything but contained in these days. You are Jehovah Rapha the God who heals. We serve a victorious God. Lord we invite you to fight this battle because we know you reign victorious. We will see a victory Lord. Use your servants as light in these dark days; use your Army as a beacon for your love and salvation.

Praying for those children in abusive homes who have no where to escape right now. Praying God's protection over them, and for Him to be a very real presence to them right in this moment, whether they've formally met Him or not.

Dear Lord thank you for health and strength today. I pray for my community and all people around the world who have not received a full salary or no salary at all. Many are living salary to salary. As we care for each other during these times, give us wisdom with the little we have to help as many as possible. Thank you that you love us and are taking care of us. Protect those that are under our care. We love them but you died for them. Give wisdom to our leaders snd calm their hearts as much is expected of them now. Everything we have today, you gave us .  In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Lord, I pray for healing, love, hope, peace and salvation for the world. I pray for those without food or clean water to be blessed with the provisions they need. I pray that those who are able to give, give. I pray that those who are able to help, help. May the world come together in unity. May division be a concept of the past. May the world feel the love and peace that I have in my heart. It's in Jesus' name I pray, Amen. And so it is.

Father, we are so aware of the recent event that has clicked the pause button on the lives of countless numbers of people around the world. People are ill, bereaved, afraid, lonely, worried about the future. Many have lost their jobs and their source of income. Lord, I place these people in your hands, knowing that only you can bring peace and provide the daily strength to carry on. I ask for a special measure of your protection over those who are working in the frontline to meet the needs of those affected and infected by the virus. Thank you for the assurance of your presence with us at all times. I pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
