I guess my question was more related to injury. Let’s say you draft now, and next February trout gets injured for the year. Screws the team that drafted trout but basically all the other teams essentially have picks that are 1 pick better than a comparable team drafting after trout’s injury.

Kudos to Evan White for setting himself up for life.  Lay folk like us only dream of making that type of money, so all of the people who are bashing this guy can sit down.  So what if he "might have" left money on the table.  Maybe some people would prefer the guaranteed long-term financial security, especially those whose upside isn't quite superstar level.  Congrats to White and his family!
