Hey everyone, hope you're all wrapping up a great week!
Going to hold tight to an hour here since we're working on the Top 50 list today

Which of Vidal Brujan, Jonathan Aranda, or Josh Lowe would have the best chance of a significant role with the Rays in 2023?
Kirt
3:00
Will Josh Lowe be a starting position player for the Rays or somebody else?
Anthony Franco
3:01
I think Aranda's likeliest to be an everyday player, particularly if they trade Yandy. Just have the most faith in him as a hitter with what he did in Durham
3:02
I don't see how they can count on Lowe out of the gate after the limited production he had in the majors with a strikeout rate pushing 33% in Triple-A. He'll probably get another opportunity at some point, but Siri feels like the primary CF to start

3:02
Do you think the Braves made the right choice to start game 3? Strider/Morton
Anthony Franco
3:02
I really don't think it matters much. They're going to have to win at least one either way
Kirt
3:02
What is your 2023 projection for Oneil Cruz (PIT)?
Anthony Franco
3:03
30 homers with a .310 OBP and well below-average shortstop defense
3:04
I hope he's better than that, since his is a delightfully strange profile, but I'm not super optimistic about either the contact skills or the glove

Could the Red Sox break our hearts again and trade Devers as part of a package to unload Sale (as they did with Betts and Price)? Who is a logical trade partner?
Anthony Franco
3:05
Not this offseason at least. Bloom was asked whether he'd consider trading Devers last week and basically said no
He offered the standard "maybe we'll get an offer we'd be stupid to refuse" hedge but I don't think that's under any kind of consideration
3:06
Now if they don't get an extension done and they're not competitive at next summer's deadline, it's a different story
They won't trade Devers to shed Sale in any event, to be clear. But trading Devers at all next summer is possible depending on how things go
Hits Like Rays
3:07
What would it take for Rays to acquire one of the Diamondbacks' young outfielders this winter?  Or are the Rays more likely to just hope that Josh Lowe can hit in the majors next year?
Anthony Franco
3:08
Yeah that's an interesting one. Arizona GM Mike Hazen has talked about potentially moving one of the outfielders for a good right-handed hitter
3:09
Doubt Arizona would give up Alek Thomas for two years of Díaz. They'd have had to have really soured on him. Does Tampa like Jake McCarthy enough for something like that to work? Probably not but I wouldn't be shocked if they built around that central concept

Which franchise is most likely to engage in the next Cubs/Nats style teardown?
Anthony Franco
3:10
Man this is a good question, I don't really see an obvious fit. Maybe the White Sox if they underperform again next year?
3:11
Angels could kind of do it if Ohtani leaves but they don't have a whole to actually move. The rest of the roster is star players on huge deals, a few good young pitchers, and mediocrity
Dodgers fan
3:11
Should I be nervous. They stopped hitting against the bullpen
Anthony Franco
3:12
I guess I'd be nervous in the sense that it's now a three-game series against a great team and anything can happen, but I don't have any qualms about the Dodgers' roster

3:12
Are the tigers gonna rebuild again?
Anthony Franco
3:13
Not a full rebuild so much as I think they'll slow play this year to see how the young guys do. What more is there really to tear down at this point?
Can trade Gregory Soto and Joe Jiménez, and maybe they will, but for the most part, there was nothing built yet for Harris to take down
3:14
Just have to let Torkelson, Greene, etc. take steps forward for now
Dirty bird watcher
3:14
Does Matthew Liberatore still have a future in the Cardinals' rotation?
Anthony Franco
3:14
Sure he's only 23. No reason to give up on him as a long-term starter
3:15
I don't think he'll be in the Opening Day rotation, but he'll get another shot as injuries arise
Joe J.
3:15
What are the chances the Yankees sell high on Gleyber Torres this offseason?
Anthony Franco
3:15
Yeah they don't have to move him or anything but I think he's a viable trade candidate. There's a fair bit of infield depth with Peraza and Cabrera already. in the majors, Volpe on the horizon
3:16
LeMahieu can cover second in the short term, IKF might end up back in a utility role
They'll probably at least kick around more Torres for starting pitching frameworks this offseason, as they did with Miami and Pablo López this summer
Rangers13
3:16
From a trade standpoint, does TX match up better with TB for Arozerena or Cubs for Happ?
Anthony Franco
3:17
Arozarena is more valuable and can be kept around longer, which probably better fits the Rangers timeline as they look to open a multi-year contention window
But that also makes him a lot less likely to be traded and a lot more costly (in terms of prospects, not cash) than Happ. I'd be surprised if Arozarena actually gets moved this winter
Cards fan
3:18
Will the Cardinals offer Pujols or Molina a coaching job if they are interested in being a coach for next season?
Anthony Franco
3:18
I'm sure they could each get jobs in the organization but I doubt either will want to go right into coaching
