Assuming Jose Ramirez, Gavin Williams, Tanner Bibbe, and Travis Bazzana are all off limits, do the Guardians have the remaining rotation and prospect capital to pull of a trade for a controllable (3 or more years), high-impact bat this offseason? E.g. Marte, Duran, Abreu etc.

Yeah if you're willing to put Messick, Genao, DeLauter, Stephen all on the table, there's a lot you can pull off

I'll believe in Juan Brito until he's 65 years old too

How much do you think Nathaniel Lowe will sign for?  Hitting in GABP 81 games a year could help him get back on track.

$5-7M

Will the Astros compete for the West this year?

Doubt they'll do enough to be favored over Seattle but yeah, they'll have a shot. I think they'll enter the season as the second-best team in the division still

What's the logic behind tendering a contract to Trevor Larnach - are there some teams who'd want to trade for him? Doesn't seem like a move you make if you're trying to reduce payroll as much as possible...

Surprised me as well but essentially everyone other than Texas tendered all their mid-level hitters. Corner outfield situation is still wide open there but Larnach probably is what he is at this point

Alright, I'm going to wrap up here. Working on the "best fits for Framber" post this week and want to have that ready to go out tonight or tomorrow morning, so I need to pivot to that

Thanks as always for all the questions and for continuing to support the site! Standard note that I'm happy to take your question on X @affranco10 if I didn't get to it here

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Should be plenty to discuss when we do this again next week
