What do you think of the front-page story in today's Wall Street Journal ("Baseball Has a Wealth-Gap Problem") regarding the tremendous revenue and payroll disparities in MLB and lack of a salary cap unlike in the other major sports?

Are there any other teams who would still have Jo Adell on their 26 man roster besides the Angels? Why can’t they admit that he is a bust and bring up Soto to play CF. Adell made great strides on defense in RF but lacks the instincts to play CF. He keeps racking up the strikeouts which offset his power. The Angels offense is highly offensive thanks to all the strikeouts throughout the offense. This team will not be competitive anytime soon. It will be a good race to the bottom with White Sox, Marlins and Rockies.

Well, the Rockies signed Moniak so maybe they would've added Adell if the Angels had kept Moniak? No argument though, it's bad. I think they're down there with Miami's Derek Hill/Dane Myers combination as the worst center field situations in MLB

On what date is the Jays' season over and what happens then (front office and everything)? I know the asnwer will be "one game is nothing", but this question is not based on "one game" but rather how this roster is constructed

I think they're talented enough to hang around and add at the deadline, at least in part because the front office is in a spot where they'll probably take a swing as long as the playoff window is slightly open
