Manfred has been pretty receptive to expansion once the A's and Rays get sorted out. I think we'll get to 32 teams by the first couple years of the next decade

It is April 28, but he hasn't started the season well at the plate (.237/.304/.541; OPS+ = 48) or in the field.  The '23 + '24 two year extension looks bad,  Farhan bought at the '21 peak.  If this production level continues, will the Giants elect to DFA before the season ends?

Yeah he's earned more than a month but if he's still playing like this in like mid-June, they have to seriously consider moving on

In light of all the rule changes favoring base runners, has there been any increase in pitchouts? Are pitchouts addressed in the new rules?

Makes sense as a hypothesis. I don't know if anyone keeps track of pitchout rates, so I don't know if it's true. Nothing in the rulebook against them
