Seems like we're at the point where they're finally going to deal Lowe this summer, though, so they can plug Mead in there for a couple months. If they still have issues with the second base defense, maybe they'll give him a shot in left next year and pull the plug on Morel

Eh, Rice is an ok athlete but he has zero third base experience in his college or pro career. That's a pretty risky play midseason. Still think they'll trade for a stopgap type. Suárez, Rengifo, could bring IKF back

Man, I don't know that there's much they can do. It's a tough spot because they're up against it from a payroll perspective and the problems are either key holdovers of the '23 team (Semien, Adolis) or the guys they brought in to fix the issues in the first place (Joc, Higashioka, Burger)

They've already pulled the chute on firing Donnie Ecker and it hasn't gotten any better. Could try to get out from under the $9.25M they owe García and look for a right fielder on the trade market. Beyond that, sort of feels like these are the guys they've got and they just need to play better or the team or they'll miss the playoffs

Much less than the $177.25M that he'll actually make between 2026-30. I still think there'd be teams willing to go between $20-25M annually on the chance that it all clicks and you get one superstar level season, but I have a hard time seeing him get beyond three years covering ages 34-36 given the injury history and this year's rough start

Can Addison Barger stick at 3b?  Looks like he has the arm for it and the ball seems to jump off his bat a bit.  If not 3b can he hit enough to be a corner OF?  Seems like an intriguing player for the Blue Jays

Yeah I like him. Think he could play an adequate third base but has enough juice to be a capable if unexciting regular if you're using him in the corner OF
