He can't return until at least 6/21 because he's on the 60-day IL. Seems viable that he could be back around when he's first eligible

What catchers should the Rays be in on?  They seem to have enough young talent up and down the roster that they can trade from any other position to land a starting catcher....

The boring answer is Elias Díaz. Iván Herrera has been the "young catcher who'll probably get traded" ever since the Cards signed Contreras. The more interesting long-term play would be to call the Dodgers on Dalton Rushing

He's in Double-A so he's not a midseason solution, but L.A. has Will Smith signed forever and Rushing's a top prospect who's not far off MLB readiness. Could eventually get to a spot like the Jays did with Gabriel Moreno where it makes more sense to cash him in than move him to another position
