Is anyone still interested in Brett Baty?

Still intrigued by the bat speed and multi-positional flexibility, would be happy to buy low if the Mets are growing frustrated with the inconsistency

Did the Rockies miss an opportunity to sell high on Doyle? At this point his bat is nonexistent and his elite defense is the only thing keeping him on the roster

Probably but I also get why they held him. Not so much that he was ever likely to be a core piece of the next competitive COL team -- maybe the Bill Schmidt front office was more optimistic in that regard -- but the '24 offensive strides really came over just a couple months

Enough to make him an intriguing trade target but one where other teams had to still have some trepidation about the bat going back in the tank. Obviously they could've gotten more for him then than they would now (or probably ever will) but one of those situations where they bet on him sustaining the improved contact and becoming a real high-end trade chip and it just didn't happen

Should the Giants cut bait on Devers and find takers also for Chapman and Adames?

No one's taking those deals
Those guys just need to play better. It's not satisfying but there's nothing else to be done about it

Alright. I have to wrap this one up and check in with Darragh to see where things stand on the daily roster churn

Had a few more in the queue that I wanted to get to, sorry. Happy to take anything I didn't address here on X @affranco10 as always
I'm off next Friday so I'll do the Monday chat and Steve will pick up the Friday one. Times might be off by an hour or two from the usual schedule as a result

Thanks as always for all the questions and your continued support! It's truly appreciated. Have a great weekend!
