Larnach has the extra year of arb control but they should still dangle him for bullpen help with their upper minors outfield glut
4:24
Pretty much with you on everything here. They should trade Ryan but won't if they're still this close in a month. Bell doesn't move the needle either way. Jeffers might bring back an upper level rotation prospect who they could use in relief short term in the Kendry Rojas mold

Will the mets trade Lindor?

Nah

At what point is Christian Yelich not worth a roster spot? I know probably not there yet but... yikes he's sinking fast.

Obviously they're not cutting him but the power has evaporated lately so it wouldn't surprise me if they end up ILing him for a few weeks at some point
4:28
The back's probably going to be a recurring thing for the rest of his career, flared up for a few games in May. Between Vaughn and Bauers they can easily cover DH for a little while to give Yelich a break

Which player(s) under significant team control should the Red Sox consider moving for a maximum return?
Anthony Franco
4:30
Does there need to be one? I guess Garrett Whitlock if you want a long shot guy who someone might blow them away on
4:31
Duran's obvious but that's not maximum return at this point. I'm not trading Tolle or Rafaela

If you were GM of the Nats, would you trade CJ Abrams at the deadline?
Anthony Franco

I think so, assuming I'm getting multiple top 100 prospects -- ideally at least one pitcher who has a top-of-the-rotation ceiling. But I also recognize that's a lot easier to say from the outside than it is to actually do as a first-year GM when the team's competitive for the first time in six years
Alright we're beyond 90 minutes so I'm going to wrap up here

Happy to take anything else on X @affranco10 as always. Steve's always looking for questions for the weekly mailbag so you can send questions into "mlbmailbag@traderumors.com" as well. He obviously goes into a lot more detail on those than we have time for in the chats
4:37
He'll be back for a chat on Monday and we'll do one next week, might be a slight schedule change because I'm planning to take off next Friday
4:38
Thanks as always for all the questions and the holiday wishes! Have a great weekend and Happy 4th to you as well!
