With Hjelle and Junis BOTH shaping up as good end-of-rotation pitchers, could you see the Giants simply (1) extending Rodon with a competitive salary and then (2) adding 1-to-2 star sluggers?

Yeah this is basically what I expect them to do. If it's not Rodón, then one of the other top-tier starters and at least two notable offensive upgrades, including one of the top-tier bats

They've been carving out long-term payroll flexibility forever. Things have run the course with the current core, this feels like the time for Zaidi and his staff to really build a team in their vision. They've tinkered around the edges a lot in recent years, but now it's time to add the central pieces

I'm not a voracious reader really. Wish I were, but it's a hell of a time commitment
I have read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Liked it well enough but wouldn't bang the table for it as one of my favorites

Kafka's Trial is probably my favorite book. It's not going to be particularly satisfying or rosy if that's what you're looking for (although neither is Androids), but I skew more towards the pessimistic social critique stuff generally
