Hey everyone, hope it's been a good week. Let's get started!

Cushonberry an option at C for the Packers if they cut Jenkins? What does his contract look like? 3/48 get it done?
Sam Robinson

Feury, I think that would be generous for Cushenberry at this point. He did not come too close to living up to his Titans terms (4/50) and has been a pretty average center if you exclude his well-timed contract year in Denver. Credit to the former third-rounder for peaking at the right time, though.

I would think he'd be available for far less than his Titans money. The bounce-back deal Garrett Bradbury signed with the Patriots -- two years, $9.5MM -- may be a tad low, but after disappointing in Tennessee, I'll bet that will be in the ballpark.

And the C market becoming more crowded -- with Jenkins and Tyler Biadasz joining Linderbaum and Cade Mays as the top options -- should keep prices reasonable for teams out of the Linderbaum derby (that will be a fun one to watch if he reaches FA). With Tom and Aaron Banks on big-ticket deals, I'd doubt the Pack will be big-game hunting at center this year.

How long of a leash does Aaron Glenn have? If things don't improve with him calling plays, Woody Johnson could pull the plug in a hurry.

Gotham Greg, I am pretty surprised -- even for the Jets -- at how poorly Glenn's started. Replacing two coordinators after one season is a bad sign, and pressure will obviously be on as Glenn will begin calling the defense. I can see an in-season firing -- maybe not as early as Saleh -- if the team has not made much progress by the trade deadline.

While Johnson would be wise to show some patience given his reputation, Glenn's operation sinking that fast will test an impulsive owner. Johnson did sing Glenn's praises (while throwing Justin Fields under the bus) last year and may not want to admit a mistake so quickly.

Seeing as the Jets gutted their team at last year's deadline, I'd hope there would be some understanding at early-tenure struggles. But the organization (albeit when Christopher Johnson was running things) fired Adam Gase after two seasons. And Glenn's coordinator firings do send out a warning sign here. The defense will need to improve fast.

Can the Seahawks afford to keep Walker, re-sign Shaheed and make JSN the top-paid receiver while remaining a contender?

12th Man, the Seahawks hold the sixth-most cap space as of this afternoon, so it would be possible. I'd just doubt they'd keep both Walker and Shaheed. They also have Devon Witherspoon becoming extension-eligible and two cornerbacks hitting the market. I'd guess Seattle would choose to pay Jobe over Woolen due to price and scheme fit, but I'm not sure they will be able to afford Shaheed AND Walker with a JSN megadeal approaching.

The Seahawks gave Kupp a $9MM guarantee by keeping him on the roster five days after the Super Bowl, and while a JSN contract will carry bigger cap hits down the road, the WR market could be depleted by Pickens being tagged and Alec Pierce perhaps being re-signed or tagged. Shaheed's price point may escape Seattle's comfort zone.

Walker makes more sense to pay. Even if the team did not trust him in pass pro, he proved he can lead this backfield to close the season. With Charbonnet likely PUP list-bound, I'd expect serious Walker talks. A transition tag at $11.3MM is reasonable too

With the report that CJ Allen was basically calling plays last season for Georgia, how realistic is it that he could still be on the board when Denver picks at 30?
Sam Robinson
4:46
Matthew, it wouldn't be shocking if he was there at 30, but I'm leaning where you are right now. I'd be surprised if he was. The Broncos saw potential target Emeka Egbuka go one spot before their 2025 first-round pick, and I'd be a tad surprised -- though, we still have a lot of pre-draft time to go -- if Allen was there at 30 to fill this need. Then again, Nakobe Dean went from Georgia LB/SEC first-teamer to the third round, so you never know.

This does seem like the year Denver needs to get serious about ILB. Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad are UFAs, and Dre Greenlaw can be cut (after an injury-plagued two years) before a $2MM guarantee vests on Day 5 of the league year.

Considering the rising costs from all the front-seven/Surtain extensions on Denver's defense, a first- or second-round LB would be logical. They need a prime young talent there; they haven't had one of those at this position in a while -- maybe since Danny Trevathan.

We will call it there for today. Have a good weekend, everyone!
