Why does Tomlin keep players like Nix, McCullers, Buggs and the FB Watt when he never uses them, but won’t dress Dobbs?

Well, as I think you know, or hope you do, Nix and McCullers are long gone and Buggs has been inactive for much of the second half of the season unless there are injuries. They paid a lot of money for Watt to be a part-time player. As for Dobbs, they rarely, if ever, dress a specialty player unless he can also play special teams. And Dobbs doesn't. That being said, I'd like to see them dress him, too.

Gerry, Do the Steelers need new concepts from a coaching staff on offense and defense? Watching the playoffs unfold, it seems to me that our philosophy is a bit outdated

I'm not sure what it is they need to correct, except for one very important concept -- they need to address, if they can, why they fall apart at the end of the season each of the  past three years ...and even four years if you want to count the embarrassing playoff loss at home to the Jaguars. It is a disturbing trend if not a systemic problem. We can nit-pick aspects of what the Steelers do all the time, but that's elevator music compared to the reasons why the collapses keep occurring. It is beyond coincidental now. I'm not sure which is more difficult -- identifying the reason or correcting it?

If you were the Steelers - would you move on from BB & let Mason have his opportunity next year to better understand his capabilities before deciding to draft or trade of a QB?

Gerry, the Steelers cannot pay Juju 16M when they have so many other needs (O-line, RB, LB,).  What’s bothering me most is how he is running off on claypool.  See chase chirp after the game?  I think he’s AB JR with 1/10 the talent.

The parallels between the Steelers and Seahawks are very interesting.  Both 12-4, both 3rd seeds in the playoffs, both lost to division rivals, Russ and Ben both struggled to throw the ball downfield the second half of the season, both had offensive line issues, and both offenses were labeled as being predictable.
