What’s your percentage on both Bell brown returning?
Gerry Dulac
2:02
Is there anything lower than zero?
Jake from DC
2:02
Hey Gerry, With this whole AB situation, people are failing to understand just how difficult the cap situation might be. $21 mil still on the cap for him. Newsflash all you yinzers, draft picks aren't free...a top 5 draft pick still has a cap hit of $5mil+. Don't expect much in the way of free agency this year boyos.
Gerry Dulac
2:03
It will be difficult, but they will manage. They always do. They are the best in the league at managing the cap.

Kevin Colbert and management been doing a awful job I think K.C. should be fired no one is talking about this but he should he doesn’t move up in the draft he doesn’t get good free agent he think low lever free agent is suppose to make this team better and it’s not he has to do better I wouldn’t mind seeing him go
Gerry Dulac
2:03
I'll tell him you think so.

I know all this mess with Bell and Brown is fresh in our minds but LETS MOVE ON people it's about the STEELERS, yeah loved great players when they are here but they come and go, some egos are not good to have around....not much of a question...
Gerry Dulac

Can we pay this guy?!?!

I just saw the video of James Harrison talking about Tomlin giving certain players and inch and having them take a yard. Was I the only one that did a double take? After all, he was the guy that slept in meetings, and was such a jerk that he forced his way out of Pittsburgh, right?
Gerry Dulac
2:06
Look, James Harrison DELIBERATELY pretend to sleep in meetings because he asked and asked and asked Mike Tomlin to trade him because they weren't using him. I'm not defending what he did but don't question Harrison's commitment to what he did for the Steelers. He wasn't playing at all and he asked them professionally to trade him (and stop telling him they wanted to use him) and they wouldn't do it. Again, I'm not defending him but understand what he was doing.

Here's my ideal offseason leading up to draft: Trade AB to SF for #2. Trade #2 for somewhere around pick ~10 and get a later 1st rounder or a future 1st and a 2nd. Draft Devin White at 10, draft our top rated CB at 20, draft our top rated OLB with our late 1st, and draft a WR with our 2nd. Boom. Now THAT is a good offseason.
Gerry Dulac
2:07
Business definitely boomin' with that!
the fine line
2:07
isn't it a bit strange that munchak was passed over for the HC job but accepted the OL job?
Gerry Dulac
2:08
A bit, but methinks the Broncos had an ulterior motive in the interview process.

Gerry, with AB's departure all but a formality, do you believe WR is a top 2 draft need? Or will the team focus on using its first rounders (assuming AB fetches one) to introduce young playmakers on defense?
Gerry Dulac
2:08
See earlier answers.
No more drama
2:08
Is Butler’s retention an acknowledgment that the real problem on defense is a lack of talent and not scheme?
Gerry Dulac
2:08
That's a big part of it.
SCL
2:08
Gerry, if a WR and a corner are both available for the steelers at 20, who do they pick? Please note AB is gone at this point...
Gerry Dulac
2:09
Depends how much they like one player over another, who has the higher grade. But, all things being equal, I learned a lot time ago they never turn their back on a skill player.

2:09
In your opinion, if a team doesn't match the Steelers asking price for Brown, will Brown be back with the Steelers or is he gone no matter what?
Gerry Dulac
2:12
I don't see how they can bring him back. There is only one way, and that would start with him apologizing for his incredible behavior, telling the public that whatever has been bothering him should have never crept into the locker room and that he is donating the game check he apparently received for his insubordinate behavior to a charity. But do you really see that happening, given his behavior SINCE the Bengals game????
Adam
2:12
Do you think that Pittsburgh Steelers will get a first round pick for Antonio Brown if they trad him to the Sanfrancisco 49ers
Gerry Dulac
2:13
I don't know. On talent alone, yes. But other factors will come into play, such as his attitude, behavior and teams knowing the Steelers will try to deal him.

You contend Butler being DC and OLB Coach isn’t a big deal because the DLine Coach does most of the OLB scheming...but what about the day to day technique development of the OLBs?Wouldn’t it be better to have somebody give them their full attention than somebody also serving as a DC?
Gerry Dulac
2:14
Randy Fichtner is still the QB coach as well as being offensive coordinator. How's that working out?

Good Day Sir!
The top 3 teams in the draft could all use a #1 WR and I think would be willing to deal. Looking at the draft value chart (the approximate value of the 3rd to 4th overall pick for AB with the various permutations) the Jets at #3 for AB straight up, AB and our 2nd rounder for the 49ers #2, or AB and our 1st for the Cardinals 1st overall pick. THEN trade back to a QB needy team and still have a top 10 pick for a top tier ILB/CB as well as picking up a much higher 2nd rounder or, ideally, an extra 1st next year. Does that sound realistic?
Gerry Dulac
2:15
I'll be honest with you my man, I can't comprehend all that. Not because I don't see that happening. Because I can't even begin to know or care what other teams are thinking because that is impossible. But it sounds interesting.

2:16
Gerry, is a reconciliation with brown truly out of the equation? Please tell me if we do not get a first round pick in trade negotiations, we will hold onto him.... Don't need him to be best friends with anyone in the locker room, and can't give him away for free
Gerry Dulac
2:20
We're not talking about AB being friends with or getting along with other players in the locker room, because, for the most part, AB is (or was) a likeable player with his teammates. Oh, he can be annoying with some of his antics, but his teammates got along with him and liked him. This is all about bailing out on your team -- the most egregious act a professional athlete can commit -- and the utmost in insubordination by refusing to call back your coach and, worse, team owner. And he still hasn't. This has nothing to do with someone like Antonio Brown. This has to do with allowing that behavior to continue and the danger of other young players seeing him getting away with it. That's the danger. They HAVE to get rid of him.

Good Day Sir!
Do you think that MT has been some of the blame for a number of our last few 1st round picks that have not lived up to expectations? Has his input into the draft process increased after the 2 SB appearances and we started drafting more for need and with questionable results vs previously taking the Best Player Available?
Gerry Dulac
2:22
No his input is unchanged. He and Kevin Colbert jointly make the choices, as best as can be expected. There are teams where the coach has NO input whatsoever in the draft process. None. The Chargers are a prime example. Coach and GM share the process with the Steelers.

Gerry, Which Steelers entering the last year of their contracts do you expect the Steelers to sign before the '19 season starts?  Would think Ben, Davis and Hargrave head that list.
Gerry Dulac
2:23
Ben heads the list.

What am I missing by people saying Hilton can’t cover well? Raiders 4th down play aside, thought he did a good job from the slot?
Gerry Dulac
2:23
Did you miss all those teams picking on him?
ALB
2:23
Gerry, do you think the fact that AR II has never had to deal with the processes of hiring and firing a coach makes him more likely to stick with what he has?
Gerry Dulac
2:23
No
Daniel
2:24
Gerry, we all know what's going on with AB's more overt troublemaking, but Ben's name keeps popping up everywhere in more covert ways (for example, disgruntled teammates, fired coordinators, etc.).  How much of that do you know is warranted?  I only ask because it seems AB is being criticized for wanting his own way -- and doing it out in the open -- but Ben seems to be doing the same thing without the same scrutiny.  Thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
2:24
Ben never bailed on his teammates.
